IBHJ Chapter 754
Added 2024-03-19 03:53:48 +0000 UTCHel summoned several Valkyries to escort Sigurd away. She watched as they led him into the distance. With Sigurd's matter handled, Hel dismissed Adam and Shirou, choosing to remain alone in silence.
After descending the stairs, Shirou and Adam found themselves in a small room. Adam glanced outside, ensuring no one was eavesdropping, before turning to him with a smile. "I didn't expect you to come back like this."
"I didn't have much of a choice," Shirou sighed. He looked at Adam and asked, "Does Hel trust you a lot now?"
"Yes, I feel like she sees me as a confidant now. It doesn't feel quite right, but since it's for a good cause, I'll do it without hesitation. After all, as Mr. Spartacus said, if it's the right thing to do, no matter how you do it, it's right." Adam smiled.
"Let's not talk about that now. I came back to get Skadi out of here. Any ideas?"
Adam frowned. "It's a bit tricky. Even if you broke her out of prison, it'd be hard to take her away. Moreover, if your identity is exposed, Asgard's suppression will activate, and you won't be able to escape, let alone help Skadi."
"I see." He sighed. Stealing from Hel was indeed a challenging task.
"But don't worry. At least those two Valkyries have infiltrated the prison," Adam said, trying to comfort him.
He nodded, then frowned. "Have you found anything about those wheels Hel has? Have you investigated them?"
"Unfortunately, no. Hel's been tight-lipped about it. And regarding the identity of Father or Ogelmir that she mentioned, Hel's been very wary and reluctant to talk about it. However, there is one strange thing I noticed."
"What's strange?"
"Well, Hel has made me her personal assistant, but every other afternoon, she disappears for about half an hour or so. I have no idea where she goes," Adam explained.
"Really? It seems like she might be doing something related to Ogelmir. But that's not why I'm here. For now, let's focus on figuring out how to break Skadi out and safely escape Asgard."
Shirou paused, an idea forming in his mind. "Since you were able to arrange for those two Valkyries to enter the prison, see if there's a way to get me in there too."
Adam shook his head. "It's not possible anymore. They got in because there were vacancies at the time, but now there are no more openings. You can't sneak in."
Shirou frowned. The situation had become more troublesome. He'd have to hold back for now and look for opportunities. However, the remaining blueberries at the base would only last for ten days. After that, they'd run out of food, and the villagers would starve.
After chatting with Shirou for a while, Adam got up. "I have to go do my job. I'll help you save Skadi, but I suggest you keep a low profile for now. Hel's been on high alert lately."
"Why?"
"Her Spring plan has already begun. She's planning to completely melt the snow covering the earth soon, letting spring return to this world. She's afraid of any accidents happening, so she's been on edge. That's why I think it's better for you to keep a low profile for now. Just don't make any moves. Wait for the crisis to pass before taking action."
A smile spread across Shirou's face as his eyes narrowed. "This is actually a great opportunity."
Adam was taken aback.
"Don't you see, Adam? People are most likely to make mistakes when they're at their most anxious."
...
Shirou spent three days in Asgard, and during that time, he saw the city bustling with activity. Hel's spring plan had entered its execution phase. Under her coordination, the Valkyries installed several brass pipes beneath Asgard.
These unique alchemical objects could connect to Hel's divine power and inject it into the earth, breaking through the remnants of Skadi's divinity. Additionally, over the course of those three days, an increasing number of monsters arrived one after another. As a result, he also had the opportunity to meet Hel's remaining Servants.
Among the Servants were the witty and sharp-tongued Andersen and the Berserker, Eric Bloodaxe. Andersen was easy to deal with, as long as you didn't disturb him. However, Eric Bloodaxe posed a bit of a problem. The moment he entered Asgard, which was teeming with Valkyries, he leered at every single one of them. There was no doubt about it—this guy was a pervert, just like Merlin! To make matters worse, he had his eyes set on A-46! More specifically, on Shirou, who was disguised as Valkyrie A-46!
That day, as instructed, Shirou transported brass pipes to the forest below Asgard and set about installing them in the snow. Eric Bloodaxe followed closely behind, showing great enthusiasm towards him.
Shirou placed the brass pipe on the ground beside him, and just as he was about to pick one up and insert it into the snow, Eric Bloodaxe stepped forward, grabbed the pipe, and plunged it into the snow himself. "Letting such a beautiful lady do this kind of rough work is simply a dereliction of duty for a man! Just leave it to me, beautiful lady."
After saying that, Eric Bloodaxe even leaned against the brass pipe and deliberately flexed his muscles. That's right, in the minds of these ancient men, showing off their strength was a surefire way to win a woman's appreciation and spark a romantic love affair. Eric Bloodaxe thought to himself, surely this Valkyrie lady must have understood my strength and appreciated my muscles by now? Unfortunately, he couldn't see any expression on A-46's face, and there was even a hint of coldness.
Eric Bloodaxe wasn't discouraged, because he knew all along that Valkyries were unable to express emotions. But surely his muscles must have made this lady's heart flutter and yearn for him, right? Otherwise, why didn't she turn her head and leave? With this in mind, he flexed his muscles even harder, eager to gain A-46's appreciation.
However, what he didn't know was that not only did he fail to impress A-46, but he even made her develop murderous intentions. Looking at the minotaur in front of him who kept showing off his muscles, Shirou was speechless and gradually felt a growing urge to kill.
He felt that he needed to find an opportunity to knock this guy out. "How about it? Are my muscles big and strong enough? I'm not bragging, but my strength is great, and I'm even more fierce in bed. So, are you interested in me?"
Fuck! He couldn't stand it anymore! Looking at Berserker who was spouting lewd words at him, Shirou couldn't take it any longer. His eyes flashed with a cold, killing intent.
Eric Bloodaxe, who was still flexing his muscles and expecting a beautiful encounter in bed, was completely unaware that the danger of death had already enveloped him. Slowly extending his foot, Shirou was about to take out Eric Bloodaxe right then and there, when suddenly a stern voice of rebuke sounded from behind him: "Berserker! If you dare to harass my sister again, I'll castrate you!"
Shirou turned his head and saw Hildr, her pink hair bouncing as she walked over, emanating a dangerous aura.
"Tsk." Eric Bloodaxe clicked his tongue in displeasure, "Pursuing beautiful ladies is the nature of men. You shouldn't stop it, Hildr."
"Pursue? I think this is harassment! If you dare to continue harassing my sister, even if Hel blames me, I'll definitely destroy your junk!" she said coldly, her eyes wide with anger.
As soon as she said that, Hildr grabbed Shirou's right wrist and turned around, leading him away.
"This is really unfortunate. But I'll see you next time, beautiful lady." Eric Bloodaxe gazed at Shirou's retreating figure with affectionate eyes, making him sick to his stomach. He started thinking about how to get rid of Eric. If he didn't do it soon, Shirou felt like he would lose his mind.

So we got some plans that could be potentially working as well as an unexpected and rather interesting complication.
