IBHJ Chapter 767
Added 2024-03-28 07:02:53 +0000 UTCBut something wasn't right. The situation shouldn't have played out like this! Hel screamed in her heart. Based on her calculations, Yggdrasil was going to manifest in reality, but it shouldn't have happened this quickly!
The plan should have been for her to neutralize Skadi's power, revive the earth, spread the breath of death, and then use the three wheels to free herself. Only after that would Yggdrasil manifest and liberate this world. But the reality had completely reversed.
Was there a flaw in the plan? Or had Yggdrasil known about her scheme from the very beginning? Could it have even been guiding her to devise this plan all along? As she fell to the ground, Hel kept pondering these questions in her heart. Did she come up with this plan of her own free will, or was she being manipulated by Yggdrasil, guided to create this scheme?
But it was all meaningless now because Yggdrasil's attack had arrived and she had no way to resist Yggdrasil, the very being that had summoned her.
A deafening crack of thunder and a blinding flash of lightning split the vine branches reaching towards Hel. Startled, she turned to see Adam and Andersen approaching.
"Master, are you okay? We need to borrow some of your mana," Adam didn't look at her but solemnly gazed at the huge tree trunk slowly growing up at the great temple.
"Mr. Andersen, I have to trouble you," he said, turning to face Andersen.
"This enemy is indeed troublesome. But observing the Primordial Human will inspire me. Go on, head out, have an adventure, and then meet your end. I'll record the fleeting brilliance of your life with my pen. This is the story I've written for you." Andersen replied.
A surge of mana flowed, and a pen materialized in Andersen's hand. He held it aloft, writing in the air, and a terrifying mana descended on Adam. Adam's eyes glowed with divine light as he stared intently at Yggdrasil's trunk. He understood that this monster was not just an enemy of humans or gods, but an enemy of life itself. Once it manifested, it would be an incredibly powerful being. They absolutely couldn't let it manifest!
"Caster, your dream of Eden is now my journey and my destiny. Crown of Genesis!" Adam roared as his body began to erupt with a blinding light. The intensity of the light grew, causing the surrounding area to quake and tremble. As the light intensified, it tore at Adam's human form, his skin disappearing piece by piece, flaking away like burnt parchment caught in a whirlwind. The light continued to engulf him, growing brighter and more expansive with each passing second.
As the transformation progressed, Adam's form began to change, his limbs growing and his torso expanding. The light completely consumed him, obscuring his figure from view, until suddenly, a colossal giant emerged from the luminous veil, towering before everyone with an astonishing presence.
Andersen exclaimed excitedly, "Is that the Primordial Human, the first human of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life? Adam, this is your true form, isn't it? Incredible, absolutely incredible! Witnessing this with my own eyes has sparked so much inspiration. I won't have writer's block anytime soon!"
After activating his Noble Phantasm, Adam once again assumed his primordial giant form, the same one that had demonstrated its power in Romania. With Hel's immense mana support, Adam no longer needed to gradually grow the giant piece by piece, like Avicebron had done with the prototype of this Noble Phantasm. Instead, he stood directly above Asgard as a colossal, 500-meter titan.
The Primordial Adam wasted no time. He turned his head, his gaze locked onto Yggdrasil's enormous trunk. The divine will within him made him acutely aware of Yggdrasil's malice and its intense hostility towards life, including humanity. This thing absolutely couldn't be allowed to manifest! Adam came to this conclusion.
Once this entity fully manifested, it would likely be even more terrifying than the Outer God that had appeared in Romania. By then, it would be unstoppable. However, at this moment, the thing hadn't yet manifested, and the power it could exert was not significant. If the passage for its manifestation was blocked before it could fully emerge, then this entity would be unable to manifest. With this in mind, Adam charged straight towards Yggdrasil's trunk.
Yggdrasil, sensing Adam's intention, responded quickly. The giant vines surrounding the area, like massive, serpentine ropes, rushed towards him, attempting to restrain his movements. However, Adam was no longer the novice he had been in Romania. During his time wandering the dimensional rift, he had learned numerous battle techniques from Shirou, honing his skills and gaining a sufficient understanding of how to use his body effectively in combat.
Adam's right hand emitted a brilliant white glow as he swung at the vines extending from the side. The immense mana formed a dazzling wave of light, blasting the vines. With a thunderous boom, the light exploded, obliterating them. Some vines managed to wrap around Adam's body, but they were quickly torn apart by the flexing of his muscles.
Finally, Adam reached the front of Yggdrasil's trunk, the heart of the ancient tree. He knew that the vines were merely a distraction; Yggdrasil's trunk was the true threat that he needed to confront. The trunk extended countless vine branches, each one waving in the air with an imposing presence, ready to strike at any moment.
Adam slowly assumed an attacking stance. Then, with a powerful step forward, he chopped at Yggdrasil's trunk with a forceful hand strike, channeling his mana into the blow. "Boom!" The sound was deafening, and the earth trembled beneath his feet.
...
Demonic Bodhisattva never used to care about anything other than her own comfort, let alone make snarky comments. But it seemed that being around Kiara and constantly observing her had rubbed off on her. That naive Kiara was influencing her, and she'd changed along with her. Of course, she'd never admit it, and as Yggdrasil's ally, she had to come and help him. Nevertheless, Hel stood in her way.
"Oh? You've completely exposed your traitorous heart now," the Demonic Bodhisattva laughed charmingly.
But when she saw the serious look on Hel's face, she cocked her head to the side. "Huh? You think you can stop me? Hmm... I don't like this feeling. Up until now, I haven't wanted to kill anyone, except for that time when Mr. Assassin said he'd clear the way for my freedom. So I guess it's not surprising that I'm being underestimated. But still, it's kind of irritating. Has Kiara's moodiness infected me or something?" As she spoke, a pale hand suddenly shot out from her belly with a whoosh, reaching out to grab Hel.
Hel's eyes were icy, and the three wheels glowed brightly. Her immense divinity easily shook off the Demonic Bodhisattva's hand.
"Not bad, but your power is nothing compared to Skadi's," the Demonic Bodhisattva said. "Even with only two wheels, she was able to make me..."
Hel's face grew even colder. She hated it more than anything when others said she was weaker than Scathach. She wasn't about to let the Demonic Bodhisattva get past her. If she did and Adam failed, Yggdrasil would kill her as it had the power to restrain her. Being killed by Yggdrasil was a fate worse than death. Even Heroic Spirits and Servants weren't safe - their Core would be taken, and their souls devoured. Yggdrasil was a monster that consumed all life, the World Tree, the Creation God, and the enemy of every living being!

It really was nice to see Adam finally get some action.
