IBHJ Chapter 792

Skadi drew another spear and positioned herself in front of Shirou, speaking without turning her head, "You're his target. Quickly, get out of here."

Shirou gazed intently at Skadi's back, his eyes tracing the slender curve that had once shielded him from the harshest storms when he was at his weakest. A flicker of emotion passed over his face as he made his decision. "I understand," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. Then, without hesitation, he turned and fled.

The Sixth Seat moved to pursue him, but Skadi grasped two spears and blocked his path.

"Oh? You still wish to fight me?" the Sixth Seat remarked with a mix of surprise and mockery. "In the past, even when you manifested your true body, I easily killed you. Although the version of me projected in this dream is just an ordinary Servant, do you believe you stand a chance against me? This dream has been tainted by my interference. Being killed here will result in mental death. Do you truly wish to experience the sensation of being killed by me again?"

Skadi's eyes narrowed, her grip tightening on her spears, "Regardless of what you say, I have made a promise to protect him."

"Protect him? Hahaha! Then go and die." The Sixth Seat tapped his toes, and his body charged towards Skadi. His speed was so fast that he seemed ghostly, completely invisible to the naked eye. In fact, this speed was so great that even Skadi struggled to keep up, but her battle instincts made her subconsciously stab towards the southeast direction.

With a resounding "clang," her spear intercepted the charging Sixth Seat. But strangely, Skadi's spear seemed to have struck nothing but air, passing directly through the Sixth Seat's body.

Skadi was taken aback, realizing the dire situation she was in. She quickly tried to pull her spear back, but the Sixth Seat was faster. With a swift motion of his hand, a massive dragon head emerged from the black mist, rushing towards her with a haunting "whoosh." The impact was brutal, sending Skadi flying and slamming her into the wall with a sickening "bang." She coughed up blood and crumpled to the ground, unable to stand.

The Sixth Seat approached Skadi, raising his hand to deliver the final blow. But in that moment, a red spear erupted from his back with a "whoosh," piercing his heart from behind.

"I've seen this before. Even if we're supposed to be the same, it's just a story humans made up. How could our wavelengths match so perfectly? It turns out she and I are one and the same." A gentle voice echoed from behind the Sixth Seat.

Skadi looked up at the figure standing behind the Sixth Seat, her eyes widening in surprise. "You're--"

"Scathach?" The Sixth Seat turned his head, astonished to see the woman behind him. She had the same appearance and figure as Skadi, but unlike Skadi's cold demeanor, this woman's face was graced with a warm and gentle smile.

"If one person isn't enough, then two should do the trick." Scathach tightened her grip on the Gáe Bolg, a charming smile playing on her lips.

The Sixth Seat tried to counterattack, but Scathach proved to be even faster. In a flash, she pulled Skadi away to safety.

Leaning on her for support, Skadi asked, confusion evident in her voice, "How are you here? Your mind should still be fast asleep in my body!"

"Don't forget where we are. This is a dream," Scathach reminded her with a smile.

"When did you enter the dream?"

"I've been watching through the mirror since the moment Shirou pushed you down on the bed," Scathach revealed, closing one eye with a mischievous expression.

Skadi's face flushed with panic, her body trembling even more at the realization.

"Shh--" Scathach pressed her finger against Skadi's lips, silencing her. "Now's not the time to discuss such matters. We have an enemy to deal with first."

Skadi glanced at the Sixth Seat and nodded, her expression turning serious. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a wand.

Crimson spear sliced through the air like a red meteor, aiming directly at the Sixth Seat. However, the spear seemed to pass through a mirage, effortlessly piercing the Sixth Seat's body with a whooshing sound. Scathach's eyes narrowed, but before she could launch another attack, the Sixth Seat reacted. Without any visible movement, the black mist swirling around his body churned, and a ferocious dragon head emerged from the vortex, rushing towards Scathach at an incredible speed, appearing before her in a mere instant, like a flash of lightning.

Scathach found herself with no time to evade the incoming attack. She quickly shifted her stance, preparing to parry the dragon head's strike with her spear. However, just as the dragon head was about to make contact, the earth suddenly shook beneath their feet.

With several resounding "cracks," the ground split open, and endless soil rose up, forming a massive wall that enveloped Scathach, obscuring the dragon head's view. The earthen barrier served as a temporary shield, thanks to Skadi's timely intervention.

Undeterred, the dragon head charged forward, its immense strength shattering the earthen wall into fragments. However, the momentary obstruction of its vision caused it to hesitate briefly, its attack slightly thrown off course.

Scathach seized this opportunity to avoid the Sixth Seat's attack. With nimble movements, she landed not far from Skadi, her gaze fixed coldly on the Sixth Seat as she spoke without turning her head, "Thanks."

"No need for thanks. But this person won't be easy to deal with," Skadi remarked, holding her wand and frowning at the Sixth Seat.

"You're right," Scathach nodded, a sense of unease weighing on her heart. The Sixth Seat's projection, despite having invaded this dream realm with an inferior vessel and being at the level of an ordinary Servant, possessed an overwhelming strength that far surpassed even a first-class Heroic Spirit. Most disconcerting was its ability to ignore all physical attacks, as if it were an untouchable illusion, yet its own attacks remained substantial.

"We don't stand a chance of winning unless we break that invincibility. The Primordial Runes I know can't make him tangible. You've absorbed the divinity of all the Nordic gods—do you have any ideas?" Scathach asked.

"No. If we were in reality, I could use Ratatoskr's Origin Wheel to break it. But here, in this dream realm, I can't think of a way," Skadi admitted, her delicate eyebrows furrowing slightly.

"This is troublesome... It seems we'll have to take a risk and try something," Scathach said, tightening her grip on Gáe Bolg. The dragon head the Sixth Seat had extended was a tangible attack, which meant that when he attacked, he might also become tangible. It was worth a shot.

The opponent had come to devour Shirou's soul. As his mentor and friend, and as a subordinate of the Eternal King, she couldn't allow the enemy to succeed.

But more than anything, the chance to face off against such an insanely powerful enemy lit a fire inside her. She didn't even realize it, but the sadistic spirit buried deep within her had started to burn bright. Her pretty face and gentle nature were nothing more than a mask, hiding the fiercely competitive soul and hunger for conquest that coursed through her veins.

"Cover me!" Scathach shouted, her body transforming into a purple stream of light as she rushed towards the enemy with a single step.

Skadi didn't reply, offering only a cold nod in response. However, the wand in her hand waved rapidly, and one Primordial Rune after another materialized in the air.

"Still refusing to give up, you two inferior, uncivilized female apes!" The Sixth Seat sneered, and several dragon heads suddenly burst forth from his body of black mist, charging towards Scathach.

"Watch it. My friend here is a goddess, definitely not an ape. Talk about rude." Scathach shot back, her feet barely touching the neck of one of the dragons as she dodged the others, never breaking her stride towards the Sixth Seat.

The long dragons twisted their necks and lunged at Scathach, but she moved with incredible agility, her nimble figure becoming like a thousand butterflies, escaping the entanglement of the dancing dragons.

Moments later, the long dragons began to vibrate, resembling a group of dragons playing with a pearl, tumbling and churning, creating whirlpools. More dragons emerged from these swirling vortexes. Even with Scathach's excellent combat instincts and vast experience, she found herself somewhat at a loss.

She adjusted her stance, shifting her weight to her back foot as the surroundings surged like waves. Dragons rushed from the whirlpools, charging towards Scathach.

She frowned. The dragons' angle of attack was too tricky, and their large bodies and sheer numbers completely sealed off any available space, leaving Scathach with nowhere to retreat.

There was no other way! Scathach's eyes blazed with a fierce red light, filled with killing intent. The Gáe Bolg in her hand emitted a deathly glow.
