IBHJ Chapter 793
Added 2024-04-19 01:25:31 +0000 UTCThere was no other way! Scathach's eyes blazed with a fierce red light, filled with killing intent. The Gáe Bolg in her hand emitted a deathly glow.
But before she could unleash her Noble Phantasm, several sharp sounds tore through the air. Flames like heavenly fire rained down on the world, engulfing the swimming dragons. Even though these creatures were formed from black mist, they were tangible and could feel pain. As the great fire burned them, their movements momentarily faltered, and they thrashed around in agony.
Scathach raised her brows and turned her head, catching sight of Skadi holding her wand. The surrounding Runes shone like planets, making her look like a magnificent Goddess of the starry sky, both majestic and powerful.
Skadi waved her wand like a conductor, the Runes around her forming a stunning orchestra of light. In an instant, another endless barrage of divine winds, flames, and primordial storms that tore the earth apart blasted towards the swimming dragons, sweeping them away!
Scathach withdrew her gaze, surprised by Skadi's mastery of Primordial Runes. If they were to face each other, she would definitely be a formidable enemy. But right now, she was the most reliable battle companion. No longer paying attention to the attacking swimming dragons, Scathach sprinted straight towards the Sixth Seat, knowing that Skadi would clear the path for her to engage in close combat.
Scathach, swift as lightning, rushed to the end of the dragon head's neck and forcefully kicked off, leaping high into the air. With the Sixth Seat just a short distance away, she exerted force with her hand, transforming the Gáe Bolg into a crimson meteor of death that smashed straight towards her target.
With a "whoosh" sound, the weapon passed directly through the Sixth Seat's body. Scathach frowned, realizing that, as expected, it didn't work.
She landed behind the Sixth Seat, quickly picked up Gáe Bolg, and with a fierce twist of her waist, swung the weapon towards her enemy. But it was like hitting smoke - completely useless.
"You thought I would become tangible when I attacked someone? Hahaha, you're still the same, making the same old boring assumptions," the Sixth Seat taunted.
"But I won't make fun of you for it. Even big shots like Zeus and Odin have done the same dumb thing. In the end, the gap between me and you lesser gods is so huge, it's like we're in different dimensions," the Sixth Seat said, not even bothering to face her. As he spoke, five beams of light appeared around him, like shining stars in the endless, silent universe. In a flash, they shot towards Scathach, crackling like lightning bolts.
Scathach's eyes widened in shock. "Five Roaring Stars? Are you Lugh?"
The Sixth Seat let out a few scornful chuckles, not dignifying her question with a response. But there was no doubt he was making fun of her for thinking he could be Cú Chulainn's father. It was clearly a mistake. How could someone who looked down on Zeus, Odin, and even Skadi as inferior gods possibly be Lugh?
Five Roaring Stars, one of the Four Treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann, is a spear of light that embodies its own power. It can shoot out a lethal beam, striking down enemies no matter how far they are, so fast that they have no time to react. The god Lugh once used it to kill Balor, who had the highest-ranked Mystic Eyes.
As Scathach struggled against the Five Roaring Stars, Skadi quickly waved her wand, trying to shake off the attacking lights. Suddenly, a massive shadow loomed over her head.
Looking up, Skadi gasped in surprise, "Mjölnir?"
With no time to lose, Skadi hastily used runes to create a Runic Shield, then desperately opened the Gate of Skye, pulling Mjölnir inside. Almost at the same moment, Scathach also opened her Gate of Skye, dragging the Five Roaring Stars in.
They barely had a chance to catch their breath when Poseidon's Golden Trident materialized in front of the Sixth Seat. With a resounding crack, it struck the ground, and endless seawater gushed out from the trident, spreading in all directions.
Skadi waved her hand, using her authority to freeze the seawater, transforming it into a world of ice. Suddenly, the Eye of Horus rose up behind the Sixth Seat, unleashing the divine light of the sun like a planet-destroying cannon, sweeping towards the two.
Scathach gathered magical energy throughout her body, focusing it into the Gáe Bolg. The spear vibrated with power as crimson runes flared to life along its length. With a powerful thrust, she fired the Gáe Bolg from her hand like a god-slaying arrow. The spear cut through the air with a boom, trailing a blazing red contrail as it pierced and struck down the Eye of Horus in a titanic clash of divine energies.
The impact sent the Eye of Horus soaring into the sky. The terrifying strike shattered the frozen sea, sending jagged shards of ice flying in all directions. Scathach spun her other spear defensively, deflecting the icy shrapnel. But then the powerful shockwave sent both Skadi and Scathach flying, causing them to tumble across the ground. Scathach rolled with the impact, springing back to her feet in a combat-ready crouch.
"These divine weapons aren't something just anyone can get their hands on. Even a God-King would struggle to possess so many. Who the hell are you?" Skadi questioned through gritted teeth as she slowly rose, brushing ice and debris from her clothes.
"You think it's hard to get these weapons? Just destroy the owners, seize their divinity and weapons, and it's a piece of cake," the Sixth Seat replied with a casual shrug, unconcerned by Skadi's fierce glare. "In the end, they're all just a bunch of lesser gods. Honestly, the power of those creatures from outer space is more useful than theirs."
The surrounding scenery gradually eroded, consumed by black mist as countless malevolent eyes appeared.
"Impossible. What you descended with isn't a physical body. That means you have to follow the manifestation rules. Possessing and using so many divine weapons from different mythologies requires projecting your image into various regions and cultures. Even Zeus couldn't pull that off. Unless..."
Scathach's eyes suddenly narrowed. "No way! Could you be that Savior?"
"Are you kidding me? You actually mistook me for that guy? Stop saying such disgusting things." The Sixth Seat's tone rarely revealed such immense disgust. "I'm not interested in wasting any more time with you. If I delay any longer, the dream will end, and it won't be easy to collect that guy's soul. If it weren't for that bastard..."
"Oh? You can't stay long? That's a shame." A familiar voice suddenly came from behind, causing the Sixth Seat to raise an eyebrow. He turned his head and saw Shirou casually walking out from behind the building. He couldn't help but express his surprise, "You actually didn't run away?"
"This is my dream. You're here as my guest. Leaving a guest alone would be rude of me." Shirou's smile widened, "So let me entertain you with something special."
Suddenly, a throne appeared behind Shirou, and he sat on it. The throne slowly floated as a massive dragon head emerged from the ground and moved toward the sky with the throne perched on top of its head.
"This is... It can't be..." the Sixth Seat frowned.
A massive clawed arm fell from the sky like a thunderbolt, slicing through the air with tremendous speed and force. The rush of displaced air pressed against the Sixth Seat's skin as he sensed the raw power behind the strike. Not daring to directly counter it, he deftly rolled to the side, feeling the ground tremble as the claw gouged a deep, jagged furrow where he had been standing moments before. He was well aware that among the authorities this thing possessed, there was one that completely countered him.
Shirou sat atop the throne, looking down at the Sixth Seat like a celestial god. Runes of Wisdom flickered around one of his eyes. Noticing his opponent's evasive maneuver, he couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? I thought you wanted to capture me. Well, here I am. Come and get me."
Comments
Eh, The sixth seat will probably ran away and survive, bringing new information of Shirou to Other council members, thus making Shirou's capture easier
