IBHJ Chapter 794
Added 2024-04-20 05:54:05 +0000 UTCWhile watching the Sixth Seat battle against Scathach and Skadi from the sidelines, Shirou had already figured out his opponent's most troublesome ability - the intangible form. The only counter he could think of was the dragon's ability to materialize spirit and matter. Although he couldn't fully recreate it, he could partially reproduce some aspects within the dream to attack the Sixth Seat.
Originally, the Sixth Seat wasn't afraid of the two female gods, but Shirou's taunting infuriated him. To the Sixth Seat, Shirou was nothing more than a thief he had killed countless times. He didn't even take great gods like Odin and Zeus seriously, let alone a mere mortal. Enraged, the Sixth Seat took out Marduk's hand-axe and slashed it towards Shirou on the throne.
Seeing this, Shirou snorted coldly, "You think that's impressive? I've got more than you can handle." With a mere thought, he summoned a host of squirming humanoid figures from the dragon head beneath his throne. They emerged slowly, their bodies stopping at the waist. Using their authority, he materialized several god-made axe weapons out of thin air and sent them slashing towards the Sixth Seat.
The axes shattered the Sixth Seat's Marduk hand-axe, falling to the ground and cleaving the earth with the might of the gods. Undeterred, the Sixth Seat unleashed Zeus' authority of the Thunder God, conjuring heavenly thunder that crackled and arced as it shot towards the throne. In response, Shirou manipulated the dragon to summon another writhing humanoid figure, this one wielding a giant hammer wrapped in lightning. With a thunderous boom, the figure launched its own terrifying divine thunder to counter the Sixth Seat's attack.
"Is that Thor's Mjölnir?" Skadi asked, her face filled with surprise as she looked at the hammer wielded by the humanoid figure.
"There's nothing to be surprised about," Scathach said with a faint smile. "That was once our most terrifying enemy, and now, it's our most powerful ally."
She felt a twinge of sentimentality. Thirteen years ago, this invincible enemy had been their enemy, but now it had become a trump card for turning the tables in this dream world. Reality truly is fickle.
The two divine thunders collided in the sky, the might of the strongest gods from the same yet different mythological realms clashing with a resounding "Rumble, boom!"
Two massive claws extended, as if grabbing onto white paper, each grasping one end of Zeus' lightning. With a fierce tear and a "rip" sound, Zeus' lightning was torn apart by the claws, the force of the action sending shockwaves rippling outwards. This allowed Thor's lightning to charge straight in and smash towards the Sixth Seat like a supercharged battering ram.
However, as expected, Thor's lightning passed directly through the Sixth Seat's body with a "whoosh," the crackling electricity phasing through his body as if he were made of mist. The bolt continued onwards, striking the ground behind the Sixth Seat and exploding it to smithereens, sending chunks of earth and debris flying in all directions.
Shirou frowned. It seemed he had to use the arms to grab the Sixth Seat, stopping his body from going intangible before attacking him. Otherwise, it would be impossible to cause any damage. With a thought, the dragon's claws surged towards the Sixth Seat like an executioner's axe.
The Sixth Seat didn't dare to directly confront the claws and quickly dodged. At this rate, let alone capturing Shirou, it was only a matter of time before his vessel was destroyed.
"I thought that once it was corrupted, there would be no more problems. But now, it seems the danger is still too great. It's better to have the Council Head go to that place and destroy that thing," the Sixth Seat silently said to himself. While he was thinking, the ground suddenly split open, and a rocky giant arm rose into the sky, grabbing him as he was dodging the claws in midair.
"Got you!" Shirou turned to Scathach. "Shisho!"
"I heard you, Shirou!" Scathach looked at Skadi beside her and extended her hand. "Let's go have our revenge."
Skadi hesitated for a moment, then nodded and grabbed her hand, standing up. "Let's go."
The two of them took out their Gáe Bolg and rushed towards the Sixth Seat, who was caught by the rocky giant arm.
Seeing Skadi and Scathach approaching, the Sixth Seat's heart sank. "To be killed by you lowly monkeys, even if it's just a phantom..." he snarled angrily.
Reaching into his robes, the Sixth Seat produced a strange cup. It resembled a Holy Grail, but was entirely black, covered in eyeballs and writhing tentacles. It seemed more like a living creature than a cup, a demonic chalice from the depths of hell.
"Witness the power of the true gods!" the Sixth Seat roared. The eyes on the cup slowly opened, as if a demon god slumbering in hell had awakened. The eyes emitted a bizarre wavelength, like Mystic Eyes.
Suddenly, a piercing sound emanated from Skadi's chest. Looking down, she saw Scathach's Gáe Bolg protruding from her back.
Scathach stared at her hands in shock, unable to control her own movements. "Impossible... My body, how..." This shouldn't be happening; she wasn't under any illusion or Mystic Eyes.
Skadi collapsed, and in that moment, Scathach raised her Gáe Bolg high. "No... No, I can't control myself!" she cried out in panic.
Skadi slowly raised her wand, firing a beam of mana that pierced through Scathach's lungs.
"Stay away from me," Skadi warned, struggling to speak. "My body, mana, and now my mind... Oh no, why do I suddenly want to kill you? Stay back, Scathach!"
Watching Scathach and Skadi fight each other, Shirou realized the Sixth Seat had taken control of them. But how?
"You weren't controlled?" The Sixth Seat looked at Shirou, surprised. Noticing the Runes on Shirou's forehead, he realized, "Ah, the Runes of Wisdom? Hmph, remnants of ancient times... truly detestable! If only Mordred hadn't stolen that chalice..."
"Wait!" Shirou's ears perked up at the name. Staring intently at the Sixth Seat, he demanded, "You know Mordred?"
"Ah, yes. I almost forgot, that girl was the daughter born when you connected to the records of Eternal King, right? Needing to procreate offspring, what a lowly form of existence."
"I have to admit, though, that girl was interesting. Especially her distressed face," the Sixth Seat mused. "Originally, I just went to destroy the foundation of the legend born from Eternal King, but ended up experiencing an even greater pleasure. You see, what I love most is watching lowly monkeys kill each other, just like how Odin brought all the Norse gods of pan-human history to his side and then killed them. That sorrowful, beautiful sight - how can it compare to those boring, second-rate, low-quality products like the planet-destroying invaders? But I really didn't expect the planet to place such a big bet on you, even interfering with the operating logic of Alaya and the Throne of Heroes, allowing Eternal King to truly be born. Even though it was so afraid that it summoned the Crimson Moon, it actually had the courage to oppose us. What kind of enchanting drug did you give to the planet?"
Shirou frowned, finally obtaining a hint about his enemy. He also understood the truth behind Mordred's destruction more than 1,500 years ago. It was this Sixth Seat of the Council!
"Go to hell!" Shirou said coldly. The writhing humanoid figures on the dragon's head convulsed even more violently, their limbs twisting and contorting as countless divinities gathered. The terrifying divine might coalesced into crackling bolts of thunder that arced through the air, smashing towards the Sixth Seat with devastating force.
But the Sixth Seat laughed loudly, and the strange chalice in his hand opened its eyes. Its terrifying power directly shattered the divinities' attack.
Shirou remained silent, his eyes growing even colder as he continuously released a bombardment of divinity.
