IBHJ Chapter 811
Added 2024-05-04 03:16:59 +0000 UTC"Artie, it's been a while." Shirou reached out his hand and helped her up, "I thought you'd come as a Saber. I didn't expect you to choose the Rider class."
"Miss Morrigan has already told me about the situation. For the king to summon someone he hates and finds undeserving, you must have encountered someone as troublesome as an Alien God. Had I answered your call as a Saber, I couldn't guarantee your safety, my king. That would be unacceptable."
Shirou: "???"
He was stunned, his mind racing with questions, but he knew it was inappropriate to delve into personal matters with everyone watching. Shaking his head, he said, "We'll discuss our problems later. For now, I entrust the army to you. Lead us to victory, King of Knights."
"As you command, my king!" Artoria swung her cape, and turned to face the hundreds of thousands of familiar faces before her. Her voice rang out, "I am Artoria Pendragon! Today, we fight for ourselves, for our history. Let us pave the way to victory together! I will stand with you!"
"King of Knights!"
"King of Knights!"
The soldiers of Eternal Kingdom roared, their voices raw with emotion. The surging, boiling cries and the warmth of the morning sun seemed to melt away the cold, snowy world around them. Eternal King had returned, and with him, the King of Knights!
The Eternal Kingdom, which had vanished from the world, was now revived in this cold, snowy land! The people gazed on the king and the first and strongest knight who stood before him, just as they had done over 1,500 years ago.
"Knights of the Round Table, assemble!" Artoria raised the Sword of Promised Victory and shouted, her voice ringing out across the battlefield. As soon as the words left her lips, the Knights of the Round Table commanding the army stepped out from the ranks.
Gawain stepped forward, his voice strong and clear, "Knight of the Round, Gawain, reporting for duty!"
Lancelot followed suit, "Knight of the Round, Lancelot, reporting for duty!"
Tristan emerged from the ranks, "Knight of the Round, Tristan, reporting for duty!"
Kay looked at Artoria, who had issued the call, and smiled before stepping out, "Knight of the Round, Kay, reporting for duty!"
One by one, the Knights of the Round reported for duty. This was the Eternal Kingdom's strongest army, the legendary Knights of the Round Table!
Seeing that the knights had all assembled, Merlin hesitated for a moment before attempting to step out. Salter, who had been watching with surging emotions, noticed Merlin's movement and couldn't help but reach out and grab his arm, asking in confusion, "What do you think you're doing, Merlin?"
"Actually, I'm also a Knight of the Round Table," Merlin said with a smile. Upon hearing this, Salter was stunned as she watched Merlin walk into the ranks of the knights and report for duty using a completely random name that she knew was utter nonsense. But oddly enough, none of the other knights batted an eye at this. She was left puzzled and dumbfounded.
After the Knights of the Round had fully assembled, Artie turned to Shirou and said, "The Knights of the Round are ready. Please give the order, my king!"
Shirou looked at the knights before him. Although many had been wiped out by Bergelmir and the giants, this elite force still stood strong!
He drew Caliburn and shouted, "My knights, for us and for our history, bring me victory!"
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
...
Meanwhile, in Chaldea, people hurried about as they reacted to the information delivered by Morrigan and the anomaly at the Scandinavian Connection Point. The news was shocking: giants from mythological legends who once destroyed Asgard were attempting to rush out from the Scandinavian Connection Point and invade Pan-Human History!
To them, this sounded ridiculous. Only the Wizard Marshal, the wielder of the Second Magic, could enter and traverse the Connection Point. Apart from that, even gods were unable to penetrate the dimensional barriers between worlds. However, when Sheba sounded the alarm, people's views were completely turned upside down. The staff members monitoring the data of the Scandinavian Connection Point were left stunned, their faces pale with disbelief.
"What exactly happened?" Kayneth, the one in charge of the Sheba system management, who had once been spared by Shirou during the Fourth Holy Grail War, asked loudly, his voice cutting through the chaos of the control room. He leaned forward in his seat, his eyes scanning the various monitors and displays.
The staff, who had been whispering in panicked arguments, started to get heated. Their voices grew louder, their words more frantic as they tried to make sense of the situation.
"The depth of the connection cannot be measured. It's not that it can't be detected," one staff member said, their hands gesturing wildly at the screens before them. "It's as if the Connection Point has become an endless void, swallowing any attempt to gauge its depth."
"Yes, yes, that Scandinavian Connection Point is going to overlap with our history!" another staff member exclaimed, their face pale with horror. "The detected dimensional information dynamic value is exactly the same as thirteen years ago when that monster invaded!" They shuddered at the memory, the images of destruction and chaos still fresh in their minds.
Kayneth clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white as he fought to maintain his composure. He spoke through gritted teeth, "What a joke! That dimensional disaster thirteen years ago was a miracle that was bought at the cost of sacrificing that snotty brat. If it happens again, where can we find another Eternal King?!"
He took a deep breath, his mind racing as he considered their options. They couldn't afford to waste any more time. Every second counted, and they needed to act now if they were to have any hope of stopping this new threat.
"Issue an emergency order!" He shouted. "All Masters and Servants in Chaldea are to be on standby in Iceland! Mission rating: EX!"
"An EX-level emergency mission? But emergency orders above A-rank need to be approved by the Director," one of the staff members interjected, their voice filled with uncertainty.
"There's no time to get approval from that slacker Marisbury! Issue it immediately; I'll take full responsibility for any problems!" Kayneth shouted, his voice filled with a sense of urgency that left no room for argument.
"Yes, sir!" The staff hurriedly started operating the mission system, their fingers flying across the keyboards as they input the necessary commands.
Kayneth gritted his teeth and muttered, "I've already lost Sola. I can't make the same mistake again..."
Suddenly, the speakers throughout Chaldea crackled to life, the automated voice of the mission system echoing through the halls.
[Emergency! Emergency! Emergency!] [Emergency mission: abnormal dimensional fluctuations detected in the Scandinavian connection point. Abnormal dimensional fluctuations detected. Suspected enemy invasion from the connection point! Suspected enemy invasion from the connection point! All available Masters and Servants, please proceed to the transfer device as soon as possible. All available Masters and Servants, please proceed to the transfer device as soon as possible! Mission rating: EX!] [I repeat...]
The message repeated itself, the urgency in the automated voice growing with each repetition. The halls of Chaldea erupted into a frenzy of activity as Masters and Servants alike rushed around like headless chickens.
"An invasion from the connection point? Is this a joke? I thought only someone with the Second Magic could travel through connection points?" one of the Masters exclaimed, disbelief etched on their face as they hurried towards the transfer room.
"No, there is a precedent for enemies invading from connection points," another Master replied, their voice grim.
"Senpai, you mean..."
The other Master nodded. "Yes, just like thirteen years ago."
"No way!" a third Master interjected, their voice filled with a mixture of fear and anger. "Is this exactly the same as the incident thirteen years ago? Is a monster like that dragon going to break through from the connection point and come here? Damn it! Team A and Gilgamesh are still in other connection points! The only Team A members left in Chaldea are Hinako-senpai and Gray-senpai, who was cursed with reverse growth!"
"Isn't this perfect?" a fourth Master said, a gleam of ambition in their eyes. "This is a great opportunity to make a name for ourselves. I can also raise my own rank this way."
The Masters and Servants hurried towards the transfer room, each with their own goals and motivations.
