Before Agravain could finish his analysis, Adam threw his head back with a roar and charged straight into Camelot's walls. With a deafening crash, the incredibly strong walls gave way, leaving a massive hole where Adam had struck.
The impact had devastated Adam's body. His muscles were shattered, exposing white bone underneath. His right leg was twisted beyond recognition, and blood poured from his wounds. The sight was both terrifying and heartbreaking.
"Get up, Adam!" Avicebron shouted. "Get up!"
"RAAAAAHHH!!!" Adam gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand again, planting his feet firmly on the ground and raising his hands above his head.
"What is he doing?" Agravain stared at him in confusion, unable to understand his actions.
"That's right, Adam. If you truly see me as your father, then you must return alive. That's my only wish as a father," Avicebron called out. "Inverse Kabbalah Tree of Life, be released! Create a path to the heavenly realm for our allies!"
Avicebron unleashed his Noble Phantasm. Though it had already been transferred to Adam, only their combined efforts could release its ultimate power.
In an instant, Adam's Inverse Kabbalah Tree of Life activated, absorbing everything around it—earth, air, everything. Adam's body began to grow rapidly, reaching three hundred meters in seconds and continuing to expand at an astonishing rate.
"The Imperial City—that's their target!" Agravain's expression suddenly changed.
No one had expected that Shirou and his allies would attempt such a desperate surprise attack, with Badon Fortress and Camelot standing in their way!
They had Adam, blessed by the Holy Spirit, smash through Badon Fortress and Camelot's walls. Now his body was growing enormously, with his hands reaching for the distant floating city in the sky.
"Attack! Attack! Don't let them touch the Imperial City!" Agravain shouted.
Countless attacks immediately rained down on Adam's massive body. Within moments, he was covered in wounds.
Gritting his teeth, Adam grabbed hold of the city in the clouds and called out, "Friends, I've got it!"
"Charge!" Shirou drew his Caliburn and yelled.
Instantly, Heroic Spirits swarmed upward like ants, using Adam's body as a bridge as they rushed toward the floating city in the sky!
...
"They made it to my city." The Ideal King stood at the empire's peak, her face stone-cold. The nebula wrapped around the solar system churned at her command, unleashing lightning that split the darkness.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
The sky cracked open as lightning hammered into Adam, splitting his skin and muscle down to bone. Blood steamed off his massive frame as strike after strike carved chunks from his body. Yet he didn't let go. His fingers dug deeper into the Imperial Palace's base, his broken form becoming a bridge for those behind him as the lightning kept coming.
Since the Imperial City had appeared in Pan Human History, the empire's barrier had covered the entire stratosphere below, making it impossible to fly up. The only way to reach the floating city was to have Adam, blessed by the Holy Spirit, break through the barrier and use his body as a bridge.
"You won't invade the Imperial City!" Agravain shouted.
The ground beneath Camelot split open like a spider web, revealing Machine God-Camelot. It had been hidden in Camelot's underground factory for modifications since the Battle of Badon Fortress. Agravain had expected Pan-Human forces wouldn't attack for some time, giving him the chance to complete the modifications.
But the Ideal King had unexpectedly ignited the Holy Grail, willing to accelerate her own demise to speed up historical synchronization. This forced Shirou's side to launch their desperate attack.
Agravain threw himself into Machine God-Camelot's cockpit, his consciousness fusing with the metal giant. He swung everything he had at Adam's right leg.
The impacts shook the earth. Again and again the massive fist crashed down.
Adam's leg gave way with a sound like trees snapping in a storm. White bone splintered and burst under the assault. What little flesh remained after the lightning strikes had turned to charred scraps, and now even the skeleton beneath couldn't take it anymore. Cracks raced through the bone like lightning, spreading with each merciless blow until the leg simply collapsed.
Thankfully, Avicebron was channeling the Inverse Kabbalah Tree of Life with his own life force. This allowed Adam to absorb the spiritrons from the surrounding air, helping his body grow and heal just enough to maintain his form despite the combined assault from the Emperor and Machine God-Camelot. Without question, Adam and Avicebron were sacrificing themselves to create a path forward.
"You will never reach me," the Ideal King said, closing her eyes. Immediately, a massive six-pointed star halo appeared in the dome above.
The six fundamental forces began to fill the halo, releasing terrifying vibrations throughout the area.
"Here it comes!" Shirou stared at the giant halo intensely. "But I was ready for this," he said, his eyes glowing as he called out, "Gaia!"
Facing the Ideal King's attack head-on was impossible. But since he already knew what the Ideal King could do, he wouldn't have come to fight without a plan.
"I hear you," came the response, "but remember to call me Lady Gaia, Shirou!"
At the critical moment, just as the infinite halo was about to form, a thunderous boom echoed and a brilliant white light burst from beyond the horizon—no, from beyond space itself. The entire nebula barrier shuddered violently, disrupting the Ideal King's infinite halo.
"What is this...?"
The sudden interruption caught the Ideal King off guard, causing her to frown. Though she commanded the six fundamental forces, she couldn't use them without limitations. The infinite halo created by combining these forces could only function within the area enclosed by her empire's barrier. Once the barrier was compromised, she could no longer channel the six fundamental forces into the infinite halo.
She lifted her gaze, her eyes glowing with divine light, and instantly looked beyond the solar system. There she saw a group of terrifying, planet-sized beasts concentrating their power as they hammered away at the barrier surrounding the solar system.
"UOs..." the Ideal King whispered. These giant creatures were indeed the UOs. After the Ideal King had blocked them at the South American connection point, they had remained dormant following Gaia's advice. Now, they had finally emerged from the South American connection point and were attacking her solar system barrier from the outside.
"It's pointless. You alone cannot break through my barrier," the Ideal King stated.
This nebula-like barrier surrounding the solar system was special, created specifically to defend against external threats that might destroy her kingdom and empire. Its outer defenses were incredibly strong—even the Umbral Star and Outer Gods couldn't hope to breach it from the outside.
This was the power of a transcendent being, and also the final protection she intended to leave for the new history, ensuring it would endure forever.
But at that moment, Uranus, positioned at the edge of the solar system, suddenly began to glow with starlight. Countless vines of light extended from its surface.
"Impossible—" the Ideal King gasped. "There's a UO still inside my barrier?"
Indeed there was. While Saturn and the other UOs had been stopped at the South American connection point, Uranus had already returned before the Ideal King synchronized history. It had been hiding, waiting patiently for precisely this moment!
