From behind, Artoria had her arms locked around his waist, holding him tight against her. Her fingers were twined with his as she breathed softly against his cheek, each exhale warm and sweet-scented.
Meanwhile, poor Morgan stood in the freezing hallway on the other side of the door, chatting happily about tomorrow's plans.
"So Master, if you're free tomorrow, can we check out the Miyama shopping district before nightfall? I've heard it's this really unique part of Japanese culture, and I'm curious about it. I did some digging today and found out they're having some special event tomorrow, hehe..."
"Yeah, sure," he replied distractedly. "If that's what Caster wants, I'd be happy to tag along."
As the words left his mouth, he felt something warm spreading across his chest. Looking down, he realized it wasn't just his imagination—Artoria had slipped her pale hand directly over his heart. The heat from her palm sent his pulse racing.
"..."
[Character card extraction complete]
Ryuuto: Female protagonist. Appears innocent, adorable, and sweet on the surface, but secretly quite wild underneath.
Morgan le Fay: Male protagonist. The female lead's partner, a thoughtful, kind-hearted honor student type with a slim build from lack of exercise.
Artoria: Second male lead. The male protagonist's brother, boasting golden hair, tall stature, and strong physique from regular workouts.
"...Hey, this script is all wrong!"
Thinking about poor Caster standing out there in the cold hallway while he was being reverse kabedoned by Lancer in the cozy bedroom... his guilt hit the breaking point. No, Ryuuto! You can't sink this low! His heart sent up emergency flares. No way was he going to let himself be manipulated so shamefully by a woman—it was time to fight back!
And fight back he would. He'd show Miss High-and-Mighty Lancer exactly who the real master of this castle was.
His left hand was the only one still free, but that was all he needed. He raised it behind his head and grabbed the back of Artoria's neck. If only she hadn't worn her hair down—he could've caught her headband instead.
"!" Artoria's eyes went wide as his fingers wrapped around her neck. She immediately realized what he was planning.
But he didn't give her time to react. With a quick turn of his head, he caught her surprised gaze and pressed his lips against hers.
"...Mmph!" She nervously let go of his right hand, trying to back away, but no way was he letting her escape now.
His perfect chance to strike back had finally arrived!
Their lips made soft, wet sounds as they kissed, and then—
"Master, is there someone else in your room?" Morgan's question jolted him back to reality.
He realized he'd nearly blown everything and quickly pulled away from Artoria.
At first, he'd just been annoyed and wanted to stand up for Morgan by teaching her troublesome sister a lesson. But somehow, he'd fallen under the lance goddess's soft and delicious lips instead.
A sin... definitely a sin... forgive me, Morgan. He straightened the clothes Artoria had messed up and answered through the door: "What's up, Caster?"
"It was very quiet, but... I think I heard someone else's voice in there. Is there someone with you?"
"..."
Lying would've been easy, but he couldn't do it. He'd already told enough lies, and only honesty would work for a true connection. Without hesitation, he pulled the bedroom door open.
Under Morgan's startled gaze, he stepped out into the hallway and quickly closed the door behind him. The entire move happened so fast, and with the room so dark, Morgan never spotted her sister sitting on the floor inside.
"Master... why did you come out here? Is there really someone else in your room?"
He wiped his lips, still damp with Artoria's sweet saliva, and looked directly into her eyes.
"In my heart, there's only you."
…
…
Five minutes later, he slipped back into the bedroom. It was already 2 AM, and the only sound breaking the night's silence was Irisviel's soft, rhythmic breathing.
The darkness was complete except for Lancer's eyes glowing faintly in the blackness. After wielding Rhongomyniad as her primary weapon for years, her Saint Graph had partially deified. Her once pure emerald eyes now had flecks of gold in them—evidence that she was slowly transcending humanity and becoming something divine. If she continued using the Holy Lance, those eyes would eventually turn completely golden. By then, she wouldn't be Lancer Artoria anymore but the Lion King [Goddess Rhongomyniad].
"Have you finished talking with my sister?" Artoria asked from her spot on the bed.
"Yeah." He lifted the covers, crawled in beside her, and wrapped his arms around one of hers.
"Brr... you're freezing," he shivered as he clung to her arm.
The gesture caught Artoria off guard. "I thought you'd be mad at me after all that."
"Mad? Why would I be mad at Lancer? We had fun just now. We should pick up where we left off sometime."
Face to face on the bed, Ryuuto and Artoria were barely ten centimeters apart, sharing the same air. But the charged tension from before had dissipated. Now they were just calmly talking, their brains actually engaged instead of... other parts.
"You're such a weird person, Master... who exactly are you?"
"Ask your sister if you want to know."
"So you'll tell her but not me? Even though she's clearly keeping secrets from you too, isn't she?"
"You can tell?" he asked, genuinely surprised.
She nodded. "These eyes can see things they couldn't when I was fully human."
"I see... In that case, I'll tell you, Lancer. My true identity is actually—"
"Stop. I don't want to know anymore." She cut him off. "You’re my Master now. Nothing more, nothing less."
"Fair enough." He snuggled closer against her arm.
"So what did you two do out there just now?" Artoria asked, her face nestled against his soft hair as they both lay with eyes closed.
"Can I skip that question?" The moment the words left his mouth, a sharp pain shot through his lower stomach—she'd pinched him under the covers. Truly sisters indeed.
"Nothing special. We just talked for a bit."
"You didn't kiss her?" she probed.
"No," he replied without hesitation.
"Really... you two have such pure love." Hearing his answer didn't seem to please Artoria at all—if anything, it made her oddly irritated.
She tilted her head slightly, thinking to herself: ...It would be so much better if he just wanted sister's body and nothing more.
