There's this really amazing compilation of bookmarks that someone made to document each and every useful Ren'Py tools/code/assets and related things. It's really hard to list it all, because the guy thought of nearly everything.

If you really don't know where to start, this will certainly help your endeavor towards creating a visual novel. From the tutorials which is sometimes better, than the source documentation, to various cookbooks; code to reach a certain effect (ex: text like DDLC), to the assets page shown on the image above.

I think we can all agree that music plays a big role in visual novels, especially non-voiced ones. And sometimes.. that's all you need to improve your game. At least until AI voice reaches an uncanny valley that you can't discern real voices anymore from it... Good thing it hasn't reached that point yet.. Right?

I don't show it here, but there's a list of AI generators in that page which I haven't tested out yet. But I'd be lying if I said I haven't used a single AI generated thing for my own projects.

Although I now use a paid subscription to get my music/assets for Maidens of Power, I still think these are perfect for the ones just starting out. The only thing that really separates it from the paid ones, is the filtering system (which I need).
