Channel Update #47 (Jun)
Added 2024-07-02 18:19:54 +0000 UTCHey, this update is a little late and will be a little short.
I’m currently deep in the next video, which will be the romance in games video I’ve mentioned before. It’s turned out to be quite a big project - lots of research, lots of game playing, and a long video (3 hours+) - and it should be finished in about 2 weeks.
After this I will need to take a bit of a break but I think the next video might end up being ‘the entire history of jrgps’, which is something I said I wasn’t going to do in the RPG history video… but that was before I saw how many views the history of rpgs video received. Also a ‘history of jrpgs’ video just sounds relaxing to me, which I think might be what I need after this not so relaxing romance video.
The final thing I have to say is just to reiterate my DM policy… which is that anyone on patreon can send me messages about whatever you want and I’m generally happy to answer any questions. All I ask is that you keep your expectations low… both with the quality/length of my reply and the time it takes me to reply. That way it doesn’t turn into a big time consuming thing for me.
For the most part I’ve actually been pretty good with replying to messages since starting this patreon, but I did fail to reply to a few earlier this year when there was a brief busy period, so sorry about that to anyone effected. Usually though I’m not too busy, hence why I’m happy to reply and why I am saying this again here so that everyone can see it.
Anyway that’s all for me, hope everyone is having a nice summer.

Awesome upcoming vids. Definitely right in the wheelhouse of of what I'd like to see. Especially the romance one as I havent seen anything like that before and will invariably hit the nostalgia with the RPGs that are part of the vid.

2024-07-02 23:51:29 +0000 UTCCan you maybe talk a little bit about the Breath of Fire series in the History of jrpgs video? I actually love Breath of Fire III. It might be my favorite jrpg. Admittedly I'm biased because it was my first, but its story is actually quite a bit deeper than that of many better-known ones.
