BSBH - High Poly tests & updates

Last week I was considering a switching Buzz-saw Blood House to a high poly art style. The main reason would be to make the camshow a bit sleazier and have more costume choices. 

But I thought about it and sticking to the ps1 look is best for now (but possibly doing an HD remaster down the line or a high poly sequel). The reason being that I'm trying to stay more disciplined as far as sticking to one thing and not getting mostly through a project before making huge changes (or starting something new)

Also considering streaming my work days on the game. Twich? That way you guys could follow along as I go and see what I'm working on if you wanted. Let me know if you like that idea.

Behind the scenes, I have to move kind of suddenly to help out a friend of mine (she's getting kicked out of her place). So work was a bit slow the past two weeks as I was looking for a new place and selling off my extra stuff. Luckily everything is worked out now and I'm back to full swing with development. More updates coming soon

Thanks! Yes that actually is a bald spot (I didn't have the hair positioned correctly) and I think it was done before the new damage system was in place, so the dismemberment wasn't as accurate as it is now. Just a quick test to see how it would come out. I will definitely consider going forward with this version in the future

I just wanna say, this looks magnificent. Especially how this girl will evil-eye the camera when she’s close to it; also love her purple hair and heavy eye liner. The only things that stuck out to me are the fact that when she gets killed by the buzz saws, she comes apart like a poorly assembled Barbie doll. Gibbing with like bone and tendons may be a good idea if you’re able to put it in this project or the remaster. Also, she had what looked like a bald spot on the back of her head? I think it was supposed to be like some kind of hair accessory but the color and texture looked like a bald spot. But gosh, even this isn’t the real graphic style, I’m so excited! It looks really good so far, keep up the good work! Also, I’m really happy you’ve decided to work on your flaws when in comes to working on a project. That’s a sign of good character!

I agree! Although it’s probably best to work with the version you have for now, a remaster for this might be a worthwhile side project for the future when you have an actual team.

I think it would be pretty fun to see how, and what goes into making a game. Twitch sounds like an awesome idea, and you wouldn't even have to talk if you didn't want to, and just put on your favorite music playlist on while we watch!
