2025-10-10 00:34:37 +0000 UTCAaaa! I said I wouldn't comment until I was caught up because I was so far behind, but I'm binging this whole story and I'm LOVING it so far! You do superb work and the way you write for these characters is nothing short of perfection!! But I HAD to comment on this one, because Goodness, did it hit home! The way in the previous chapter that Cherri was (playfully) jabbing at Husk's insecurities to the point that he had to leave and do something about it. And how in this chapter, while Angel was trying to help, he was kinda driving the knife even deeper and twisting it. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ It's one thing for "the friend" to say potentially hurtful things, but when it's your "not boyfriend" saying that nothing worked and with over 100+ pictures not a single one looked good, that hurts on a fundamental level. Not only that, but Husk has always struggled with self esteem issues as shown in the Loser, Baby song and all of the labels being pointed at him. There were a few that were directly referencing his appearance, and I wonder if he struggled with it even while he was alive. And I remember hearing that he HATES his Sinner form too, so having all of that piled up and being showcased at once would be such a crushing feeling, even for someone as jaded as Husk. He's good at boosting other people up, but he has a hard time doing it for himself. Even the strongest have their struggles. I really hope Angel can help Husk see himself as the wonder that he is! โค๏ธโค๏ธ I'm so looking forward to reading more and catching up with the series!
