INSANE AMV project - BTS - FIRE!

For over a year now I've been working as a storyboard artist in an Animated Music Video for "INSANE", the Hazbin Hotel Alastor centered fansong. This project is leadered by M1cK4rt, so follow them for updates (or for artist calls ;3)

In this post I'll show you a little BTS of this clip, which I call "FIRE!"

This clip is part of one of the two sections I was trusted with. After reading the script by M1cK4rt (director) and @avabcartoons (storyboard lead), this is the first version I came up with. (VERY ROUGH ART PLEASE FORGIVE ME)

This section was heavily inspired by an idea by my friend Blue Ech0 :3

Since this is the very first storyboard job I do, I was having trouble visualizing the pacing and the camera movement, so I made also a very quick animatic - (check it out HERE since Patreon won't let me embed video xD)

Version 1 was a No Go, so I went back to the drawing board. Version 2 was also inspired by the art of my amazing friend Blue Ech0 ;A; <3

 I have NO IDEA if my notes are accurate xD if there's any pro storyboard artist reading this please forgive all my sins xD I'm an amateur and istg I'm trying my best jkahdjakd

ANYWAYS! V2 was approved! Here's the very rough animatic for it.

After getting approval from my team I went back and started cleaning it up as much as I could for the rough animation phase. Our storyboard lead asked me to try and draw as much as in model as I could, so I tried and failed xD but I TRIED!

Before submitting my final clip I made this GIF as a WIP and it was also approved :3
I wasn't an Alastor simp but I did like him xD however after drawing Alastor for almost three months I'll admit I was fed up with his silly face and the song too xD I had lots of fun tho and I'm looking forward to do more storyboard work very soon c:

As I said, I am an amateur and don't even have the software for proper storyboard work (YET!). I did all this work oh my ANCIENT laptop on Photoshop CS6 coughs dust and edited the clips on my phone xD I do have a drawing tablet tho, a 6 year old Huion Canvas 13, and he's the true hero here (yeah he's a boy).
