Hey peeps! Another Glee for you all! This episode was another strong one that I really enjoyed so I hope you guys enjoy the reaction <3

Sorry this is up a day late... I've been struggling a lot with technical issues that have made me want to pull my hair out. Also I think a full year of being in and out of lockdown has gotten to me and I've been feeling overly tired the past few weeks so apologies if I'm slacking on replying to comments etc! I promise I will get around to it and I appreciate all your support very much <3

so I think the Finn linen about not getting to second base was about her being uptight. def sounded sis but Finn would take advantage of her like that.

yeah i defiantly didnt fault kurt for this, 100 percent ryan murphy

jada odom

yes! this episode was definitely fun but i could definitely tell after watching the next episode were gearing up to more serious storylines to round off the season and i’m very excited!!! 😼

I’m definitely growing to like kurt more and more over the seasons and i completely agree that it’s not something i can ever picture him saying outside of bad writing 😬

2000% didn’t even consider the fact that there was a lot of biphobia from Rachel’s side too! i think the writing in general just threw me off as i never thought Glee would be one to single out and invalidate a sexuality when it’s a show that meant a lot to lgbt+ peeps. It’s definitely not something i’m holding against their characters as considering how accepting both of them are (even rachel has had her moments this season of being supportive to kurt) it just seemed so out of place and just a targeted line 😬 Also your POV on Burt asking Kurt to ask when having boys round is definitely another angle i didn’t consider! Season 1 is very distant to me so i completely forgot about the Brittany/Kurt moment 🤯 I think for sure it’s a tricky situation as i see Burt’s side but also Kurt’s side in that asking for permission shouldn’t always be necessary. I also do think it was pretty upsetting to see Burt call Kurt having a friend round “uncomfortable” so i’m kind of glad that over the next episode we had a moment of him learning even further as a father!

So many Ryan Murphy shows are so biphobic. Kurt's one of my least favorite characters and I didn't even hold this against his character cause it's so out of the blue and clearly Ryan's writing.

Liked the reaction this is definitely a fun episode/one of the funniest episodes of the series. This is one of the last "fun" episodes of the season. From the next episode until the end of the season most of the episodes have funny moments but overall most of the remaining episodes are more serious and set up storylines that follow through into next season (some things that happen in the next few episodes do play out throughout the rest of the series). Next episode is definitely a great episode (arguably one of the best of the season).

Just finished the reaction. It was really good. I agree with what you said about the writing. It sucks a lot because at the time glee was airing, it was one of the first shows that a lot of lgbt kids had for representation and for this show to tell bi people that they don’t exist, I’m sure was really hurtful. I’m glad you pointed out the writing versus singling out Kurt because the whole storyline was biphobic not just what Kurt said. Most people focus on the Kurt line, justifiably so, but Rachel was also being biphobic. Kurt was assuming the only option was gay, and Rachel was assuming the only option was straight. And while the ending was cute, it was just painted like Kurt was right and Rachel was wrong when they were both wrong. As for the Burt thing. I agree Burt was in his right to ask Kurt to ask for permission before having a sleepover, but he could’ve worded better. He should’ve said “a boy you’re interested in” not just no boys at all. And he could’ve asked what the situation was before telling Kurt he was inappropriate. I also think Kurt was right to point out the double standard in Burt’s request. Last season when Kurt and Brittany were making out in the basement, Burt just went back upstairs and told Kurt to use protection, but again that’s probably more of an inconsistency in the writing but its still something to consider. Anyway, sorry for the essay. Get your tissues ready for the next ep. it’s probably one of the best episodes of the season.
