How's it Going?

So I figured it was time for another update, as I realized it's been quite a long time since I last spoke on the comic's status and I wanted to touch base with all you wonderful patrons who are still here :)

I'm going to get into the personal nitty-gritty a bit, so feel free to skip down to the TL;DR section if you're not interested.

Overall I'm doing better both physically and mentally than I was when things first spiraled, but I'm basically still trying to cope with my disability. When I was younger it was easier to pretend it wasn't that big of a deal, that I still had plenty of time. I'm getting older now and things feel a bit more finite. As my disease progresses I'm essentially forced to confront my own mortality, albeit a little early in life. I really don't know how much drawing time I have left, there's just no way to know, so it's uncertain and kind of scary.

The only thing I know for sure is that I am forced to do a bit of triage. As much as I love Gamercat, I've had my fill of comics for now - they're time and labor-intensive, and I've spent a good many years on them. I want to do other things, and I can't do both, so I sadly don't plan on returning to comics any time soon.

I will not say never, because who knows what the future holds? But I wanted to give you patrons a very clear understanding on where I currently stand with the comic. If you wish to suspend your pledge in light of this information, then it's completely fair and I will not begrudge anyone for it. I'm honestly amazed there's still so many people here!

I still currently plan to do wallpapers for the $5 tier as long as there is demand. If any of you $1 patrons choose to stick around anyway I do greatly appreciate it, but if you're looking for other ways to support things I'm currently working on, then buying from my shop is definitely the best option. I also have a Ko-Fi account if you'd prefer to send occasional support that way.

I really am so grateful so many of you have stuck around so long. I really didn't anticipate that! I just wish I had better news to offer and I'm sorry to anyone who is disappointed by this. I hope you can understand, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask!

TL;DR version:

I am still coping with my disability and do not have any solid plans to return to comics for the foreseeable future. I will still be making wallpapers for the $5 tier as long as there is enough demand.

I will not be shutting down the Patreon as it would remove access to all of the past wallpapers for everybody, so if you feel you'd like to suspend your pledge instead it's completely fair, and I sincerely thank you for the support you've given so far!
