The Petrified Paladin

"You will not win, mage. You can keep me in this cage, but by my soul I will strike you down and -"
FLASH!
The mage had enough of his bravado. In a flash the magic of the cage had petrified him, his body and armor nothing but marble. He was fully aware, imprisoned in stone. Each day a piece of his armor was break off him until he stood naked and frozen, humiliated and defeated.
