How well it works will ultimately be up to readers, of course. The basic pacing of it will be tournament climax -> short break -> fight climax. Having two different arcs peak in close succession might have been a strange choice, but I hope that the different ways they resolve will make them work.

I hope that the battle with the son of the CEO can still work after we have already had the climax of what feels like the major story arc. Most of the focus has been on the underground throughout and granny. The better the tournament stuff works the harder it will be to build up tension for the next fight. Iβm very curious how the pacing will get figured out.
