Hiatus Update! - June 2016
Added 2016-06-02 23:53:11 +0000 UTCBefore anything, I need to start by extending my sincerest thanks and appreciation for your continuing support, via both pledges and personal encouragement, over this past month's absence. Taking a break from work, regardless of your career, is always a frightening undertaking, not knowing what state it will be in when you return. With your consistent help, my fans and Patrons, I've grown far more confident in my path and my work than I've ever been before. Thank you so much!
With that additional confidence, I've decided it might be worth it to take a bit more time to reach some of the goals I had for the month of May. Funny thing: It turns out it takes more than than three weeks of time to resolve major life decisions and career dilemmas! WHO KNEW?! In addition to the extra time needed for these things, I am making some last-minute plans to travel home to visit a family member, which rightfully puts everything else on the back burner.
As we move into June, you will indeed continue to notice a lack of regular content on my normal channels. However, I will and already have been slowly easing in to returning to work. I am happy to let you know that videos will start to appear on my YouTube channel, and I'm hoping to schedule at least two Twitch livestreams for the month, which I will let you know about well ahead of time. Obviously, I was happy to be available to participate in Mindcrack UHC Season 24, so those videos have been and will continue to be published. Additionally, I hope to have Far Lands or Bust return at least on a once-a-week basis, and hopefully more as I find more time and energy to do so. I have already recorded episode 589, to be published on June 5th, the 5-Year Anniversary of starting our Child's Play Charity fundraiser in 2011!
So, once again, thank you everyone for your continued support and understanding. While I don't like to feel like I'm testing the limits of it, I know that once we get through this, things can only get better and more amazing than they've ever been over the past five years of doing this work. If I learned anything from recently recording UHC24 and FLoB, its that I really miss making videos and can't wait to get back at it. Thank you again!
INDEED,
Kurt
