The Golden Core plot thread was meant to be a subversion of the usual expectation that the MC will receive a special unique bonus. Most likely it's going to get some serious hate, but I hope some people enjoy it.

Is Granny really a asshole? She does have other motives, but I do think she's helped as well
2019-03-31 22:07:55 +0000 UTCThe lawyer, Granny, his uncle, his parents, Micheal, the corporate stooge, the arena thug. Thats a lot of bad people for 17 parts. Normal Wuxia has less jerks than this and thats saying something.

2019-03-31 09:26:57 +0000 UTCThank you! I also think some difficult struggle makes things better, so I'm glad to hear there are people who agree.

2019-03-30 22:46:25 +0000 UTCI recently Tried reading 10 realms but I'm enjoying this so much more. I love it that the MC has to struggle a bit and everything is not just handed to him. I don't want to read a book where there's a I win button
2019-03-30 19:22:46 +0000 UTCThanks!

2019-03-30 12:41:46 +0000 UTCOne or two raging assholes by my count. Both of whom saw themselves as having been humilated. were in fact humiliated just not by mc.

2019-03-30 08:17:28 +0000 UTCOne of the most realistic and interesting outcomes :)

2019-03-30 08:16:01 +0000 UTCAt last I see his true strength. He's still a decent dude despite living in a world filled with raging assholes.

2019-03-27 18:13:27 +0000 UTCRational fiction as in r/rational? I have some connections to the community, but can't claim to be too deep into it. In any case, I did indeed intend the lawyer to be simply following the law.
Sarah Lin
2019-03-27 18:13:14 +0000 UTCAh, that statement was more expectations for the future than expecting hate from people here, but I see what you're saying.

2019-03-27 18:11:39 +0000 UTC>The Golden Core plot thread was meant to be a subversion of the usual expectation that the MC will receive a special unique bonus. Well it worked. I was suprised and I appreciate the novelty.

2019-03-27 17:47:31 +0000 UTCAs a lawyer, I don't find the lawyer all that evil. Just doing his job, following the law. Hell, I'd probably read a series about lucrim lawyers. I will license that idea for one plate of nachos.

2019-03-27 17:46:29 +0000 UTCAs long as these pay out later, I think the chapters fine - good even. There’s good conflict right at the end which makes it interesting to drive the story forward

2019-03-27 17:30:54 +0000 UTCI like that it didn't go the normal route. If you want you can turn this into a rational fiction but you'd need to clean up the evil lawyer from the inheritance hearing. He's just too randomly evil.

2019-03-27 17:30:09 +0000 UTC> The Golden Core plot thread was meant to be a subversion of the usual expectation that the MC will receive a special unique bonus. No such thing as a free lunch, eh.. well, our --unfortunate-- protagonist is honestly interesting enough without you needing to hand him these kinda things. PS : if I were you, I'd just remove the "Most likely it's going to get some serious hate, but I hope some people enjoy it". You're the author here, you don't really need to justify yourself, and usually people like being surprised, so I doubt people are really going to throw hate over that. Plus, now, the CEO knows him, that's """good"", right? Ha ha ha... hah. :/

2019-03-27 17:27:23 +0000 UTCWell....you set up a potential new protagonist...you showed how high the heavens are...
