Because working with artists and communicating with patrons are both slow processes that operate on different schedules, this comic was already in the works before the previous posts and polls about it. So if you're interested, please enjoy the third hypothetical episode!
What's the actual situation? I'm not sure. Maybe I could pull off something with a Kickstarter or a company, but inertia/scheduling is actually a larger roadblock. While a comic might be fun and/or beneficial in various ways, it would consume my time, which is a limited commodity. The tendency not to launch into anything new or risky is a powerful force... though I wouldn't be a writer if I didn't overcome it sometimes.
All that said, the artist is good for redraws on this commission, so mention if you think any panels could use improvement.
