Theo's Blueprints Post-Skyvenom

Thanks again to Lamsey for keeping the blueprints updated! I also threw in the overall design for Theo's new cube in case you forgot from last book.

These will be tiding you guys over during the interim between books. However, the delay will likely not be as long as I thought! Though the negative factors I discussed earlier haven't changed, I made much more progress on TWC10 than I would have estimated two months ago.

The Amazon release of Skyvenom will be in February, hopefully. After striking out with a couple of my usual artists (apparently busy all month) I have started the commission for the next cover, so that is the main delaying factor.

Re-reading the series and looking at the blueprints, I can't remember, does Theo ever add a sublime material to his original gravity room? Or his torsion room (other than the antlers)?

MrQball13

Hey does anyone remember what the skull symbolizing "Lethality" in the basement is?

Froyo Baggins

The gang better get planning for Theo’s big seven-oh! (If it hasn’t already happened). And probably like Senka’s 300th or somthing.

Elliott

I'm feeling like he might pull off a 3floor basement cube, one per ascension before aeon. So, I'm betting we will see a lot of filler until Stronghold, then he will put a plan together at Stronghold, then see it come together at Domino

Imp

So all Theo really has left is polishing, finding a use for the Skyvenom and a new material for his singularity for the upper level floors? Clearly filling out the basement as well but that seems like it might be done mostly once he gets to Stronghold. What a fun magic system this is, it really gets my imagination flowing. Thanks for all the hard work Sarah!

OldRob

The power of Yoink! If it's not nailed to the ground, it's yours ^^

guillaume nguyen

As of the end of this book, it has been six years and two months.

Sarah Lin

So, do we know how long it's been, time-wise, since Theo started his second soulcrafting journey?

FoolRegnant

Since ascension strengthens the bonds between parts of the soul home I think it will depend on how important that bond is to the design he will craft. If its delicate then you should hold off, if not then being stronger allows you access to more places. Though he could also just hunt down treasures to break through to the next basements instead?

Kangaroo

This was my thought on it. That at baseline he's stronger and more conceptually aligned with his central theme and it fuses his gravity powers into him in a more real way than typical corporeal floors would but there's a greater cost to actually utilizing his ethereal chambers for their purpose(s) in the short to mid term a la regaining the stored ethereal cantae back up after use and being more debilitated by the lack of ethereal cantae flowing through those chambers immediately afterwards.

ZachRE

One area of mastery in which Theo far outstrips all of the Nine Worlds is that if they don’t explicitly tell him something is “We’re gonna need that back after”, he’s absolutely going to lick it and claim it as his own.

Elliott

If Nauda could crystallise her LyingWit as a sublime material, I bet that would be weighty & devastating enough to create a singularity…

Elliott

He'll definitely need to have finalized it before Aeon for sure. Before Stronghold... Hmmm, that would be difficult, considering he doesn't have good materials and still need to create a good blueprint for it. Depends on how long it will take for him to find the trick with the Skyvenom.

guillaume nguyen

We don't have explicit foreknowledge of that, but it was confirmed to be possible in this book, wasn't it? It seems unlikely that Theo would pass up the option if it's available.

Desertopa

Thank you Sarah & Lamsey! See the excitement and discussion generated from what is technically all stuff we already know, but still fires our imaginations. 😊 So fellow Patreons, speculation time… does Theo need to ideally fill/finalise his basement before ascending, for best long-term outcome? Or is that just a nice-to -have at Stronghold/Dominion if there’s another “qualitative” ascension into Aaron tier, like there was from Ruler to Authority…?

Elliott

If the saturated cante from the Ethereal rooms is continually circulating, rather than isolated from the rest of the soulhome like the standard design, perhaps it will enhance his corporeal aspects beyond their baseline strength. And perhaps when he taps the Ethereal floor, maybe it’ll also temporarily boost his corporeal aspects, alongside whatever the chambers themselves do…? The question remains, what is the impact to his corporeal chambers once he’s exhausted his Ethereal chambers? Weakens them temporarily? In any case, since it’s implied there’s *some* level of leakage and the saturated cante is normally totally isolated, I’m guessing one downside is that it’ll take Theo longer to totally replenish his Ethereal chambers after exhaustion, compared to a traditional design.

Elliott

Oh. Well I'll keep hoping ^^

guillaume nguyen

No spoilers there; that is just how I named the file, it's not based on any advance knowledge other than what's in book 9.

Lamsey

Noticed the name of the basement png. b1.... There's a good chance there will be more layers to the basement ^^

guillaume nguyen

Lamsey's blueprints are the best, as always.

Runcible Technician

This is still so cool to see. Theo's blueprint is so interesting! Normally soulcrafters who make a corporeal floor and an ethereal floor wouldn't have to have linking chambers like this right? And they'd effectively have a third floor to play with, while Theo doesn't right? What advantages will Theo's way have? If that's not too spoilery for future developments, that is

Josh

Love the blueprints!

Kris Boxall

Love this! I wonder if he’ll finish his basement before ascending again. And what he’ll use for his next singularity

Fleetpanda

Chapter 28: Since eating the Arbaian crystals had worked so well, he placed them directly underneath, along with his makeshift meal and the spirit fork he'd forgotten to give back. Adding in all the sublime food he'd received from the Silver Gourmand, he basically had a second Nine Worlds Feast. Overall it would be much more efficient to condense them into one room, but he'd worry about that once he finalized his other basement chambers.

Lamsey

The basement feasting is the sublime fork improvement to eat Arbaian crystals

guillaume nguyen

Really great to see his blueprint, it'll be nice to think it over during the interim and have it as a reference for when he ascends to stronghold

Henry

Wait he has a basement feasting hall as well? I must’ve missed something. Also looks like theo will be starting off singularity number two and mayhaps three(basement if thats a thing)? Next book?
