Soulhome Blueprints: Wakespire

Well, people have been asking for updated blueprints and these are long overdue - that's on me, not the indefatigable Lamsey. These images represent the characters' soulhomes as of the end of Wakespire.

These get longer with each book, but I'm not sure I have many notes for the newest editions. For those who had lingering questions about Fiyu's blueprint, hopefully this clears those up. You can also see what Nauda has finished after all her remodeling alongside what she still has left to do. Feel free to ask any other questions!

This has been an insanely busy month for me, but Deathseed is getting closer to ready for release. Please look forward to that alongside more of the usual bonus content.

Makes sense. What is the main use of the meditation chamber? I don't recall it from the book.

It doesn't enhance it much. The dark blade was designed to be a fast and efficient technique, so the flow goes directly: heart chamber -> technique room -> window.

Does Fiyu's meditation chamber enhance the dark blade? It seems in the wrong place for that as the heart chamber flows directly to the dark blade.

Hm. Interesting - seems like the barrier wards, static stone and null stone are feeding into the staff just as much as into the glove, notemeralds and necklace. That tower looks like a mini power cube

Interesting suggestion! Using QR codes would be far outside of my area of knowledge, so I'm not sure. I would have to check the files sizes, because I don't know if they would take up as much as an image.

Sarah Lin

These images are well done. You mentioned previously that it's expensive to include images in the book. I started wondering about if you could use QR codes strategically located in each book to link a reader to web pages where the images are stored. (For example - when a character has fully crafted a floor in their soul home you could have a code that takes them to an image of the completed floor without a spoiler image of what their next floor will look like in a following book) I looked online to learn a bit about QR codes and found that there are both industry standards and free code generators. Perhaps this is a question for the publisher about whether publishers treat QR codes as images themselves, or like text in a book. No idea how involved this would be - simply hunting for an option for you to provide pictures that can be linked to from the book so you can spend less on the printing.
