It would be for nothing, like he didn't go by himself on a non-mission

yeah, looks like jody really forgot the entire STORY behind why Naruto and the team are there in the first place. It's a mission. Orochimaru will become too damn powerful if Orochimaru gets Sasuke.

Well Sasuke leaving isn't as simple as just letting him go. Sure I personally agree that Naruto shoulda respected his wishes and let him go if it were under normal conditions. But Sasuke is a traitor now, or will be, because he's willingly siding with an enemy of the village. We can't just let that go especially if that means Orochimaru will become 10x more powerful by taking his body and using the Sharingan. So they have to bring him back. Naruto just happens to have his own personal reasons as well as a bunch of comrades who put their lives on the line for it and Sakura ( freaking Sakura🙄) crying in his ear to bring him back. I would agree whole heartedly tho if Sasuke was just trying to leave and go on his own rather than going to Orochimaru.
I would also disagree with Sasuke not having the same safety net as Naruto. Somebody took care of him after his clan died just like Naruto I'm sure. He also had the exact same people that Naruto had to look after him in school because they were in the same class all their life. And they were also on the same team. Sasuke was just a loner that didn't want friends or a teacher to look after him but if he did then he'd easily have what Naruto had times 20. Afterall he was already the most popular sought after student because he's good looking, cool, mysterious and he has the sharingan.

Naruto is definitely being selfish but at the same time, his mission is to bring Sasuke back. He cant just let him walk even if he wanted to, mission is to retrieve him.
