I must have been in a wicked mood when I made it during last week. Took a lot of time too. But when I saw them lined up in the posting interface, doubt struck. Should I really post them all?
I do the wildest stuff for commissions all the time and I don't mind one bit. Some of it has been massively challenging and fun, some turned out excellent even when the theme was not what I personally would try to do.
Yes, there sure are limits, aesthetic, legal or personal, that I'll not even think about, let alone paint, not even for commissions.|
Doing ironic or sarcastic erotic paintings with a religious theme like this though, is a lot of fun for me and the fact that there are more versions of this particular painting than any other before, is proof enough of that. One version just called for the next. It was an unstoppable force. I started with the kneeling nun (that I also saved separately) and the train left the station from there.
Posting the even wilder stuff however is another thing. When it's out there, it'll stay there. And I even might kick a patron or two inadvertently in the nuts with it. Religion is such a sensitive topic. These particular two versions (Don't swipe when in doubt!!!) may even be too much. I don't know.
Some time ago (I guess over a year) I polled about whether I should post more explicit stuff and the vast majority said I should, but this is heavily religiously inspired. So, I'm asking and I hope everybody reads this and replies (even when you would not appreciate it);
Should i just ignore my reservations? Should I post all or not?....
