Aloha my loves, writing to you from the Big Island in Hawaii ๐ธ It's been full and bee-autiful. I worked with the same beekeeper from my last bee shoot here, and after weeks of obsessive editing, here are some favorites. Hard to choose where to start, there are 100's of photos. I want to take you on a little journey and not dump them all in front of you at once.
One backstory note is that both these women were so excited to do a bee shoot, it's something they've always wanted to do. There's a lot I am learning about working with bees. Surprisingly, it was actually kinda difficult to get the bees to stay on the models in this shoot. Could be a seasonal thing, location, perfume, I don't know. Not like the last shoot. We had thousands of bees all over all of us. This one, it was more subtle, often maybe 10 bees or so. But it made for some more delicate shots, which was different and cool.
Hope you enjoy
