They can either die trying to murder the cocky demon who put them in this doomed situation, or they can bend over backward for him and suicidally attack the people sent to liberate them. I thought the obvious choice was pretty clear here.

Which is always proven that way when they refused to ask for help to other mortal races when the Demons are legit invading the continent that *all* of them live in. Maybe that Demon is around level 70? I hope so because then Zack, Helen and Jaakko will be able to defeat it, if they are around level 90 they won't have much chances against it....
