2023-05-06 18:53:19 +0000 UTCAgarus isn't even a god nor has any divine essence, it is just a Primordial Demon. So it is much weaker than them. I presume this is the reason why the Beast reigns supreme for so long, as it is likely a God, unlike all other wild demons.

Salvos has been winning almost constantly through clever skill use, speed, ingenuity, fire power, (plot armor in some cases), etc. She defeated so many high-level enemies with Help or even One-on-One. With the corruption in the first Kingdom she saw an enemy to vast to defeat. With the Agarus we (and she) get a glimpse at all the really powerful players, like Renox or the spirit queen. These Entities had centuries to grow their power. Salvos is powerful, but also she's at most seven.

And you jump to conclusion that escaping gotta be done with thick plot armor. You freak out over nothing. I don't even qualify this chapter as a cliffhanger. This is more of a "raising tensions" chapter. As after escaping she'll need to be in constant alert and act with caution, as the Agarus might want to hunt her down and it could spontanously detect her from afar again.

Belzu managed to survive the Netherworld for many cycles with low level illusions. So wild demons are likely weak to them.

2023-05-06 00:23:41 +0000 UTCHonestly, there's this whiny guy going crazy because easy-escape-all solution doesn't actually solve all situations and Salvos learns the hard way that Revelation is not to be uderestimated despite having such an easy way out as the [World of my Mind]. Honestly, it is a good chapter showcasing that the Revelation and the Netherworld are extremely dangerous and Salvos even now cannot take it lightly.

He took away all her possibilities of survival only to have the "story armor" work at the end and somehow I will survive without anyone's help...
