2023-05-29 07:00:26 +0000 UTCVery nice chapter, the POV with Eloise was brief but nice, personally something that I enjoyed quite a lot and fills in her behavior quite nicely. Drawing the parallel to Jax acting like a kid was funny because it's actually true. Now as for the question. I think it mainly comes from whether Amelia wants to entertain Jax's antics or crush him. Personally, I think Jax didn't scream. Mostly because she had already decided to indulge him, so doing so for a bit won't be too bad. Though it is a hard question. It depends on whether also Jax pissed off Amelia on the way there by musing about how strong he will grow, and how soon, he will best her in other things including battle. If he babbles enough then I certainly think, the likelihood of him being forced to scream skyrockets. It's not a question about whether Jax can withstand it or not, the real question is whether Amelia wants to make him scream or not. It's truly a hard question with how unpredictable Jax is as a character, but I still believe that he did not scream, and Amelia just let him have it for a bit. However, I do believe that if he keeps going on and on, next time he will certainly be made to scream.
