[Salvos] 716. Betrayal (Removed for KU)

(Removed for KU)

Comments

W. Manos is based. Sicar is the minion getting dragged along. This rebellion is looking more and more doable. Just need Focalor now.

I'm pretty sure it just shows emotions. But as Manos' emotions were so strong, Salvos somewhat halucinated a vision.

Dragonmaster_42

Since it came up in the direct context of Jofis' death, I would assume Manos, Hartia, Aliq, Ultis and Haec also got that message. I see the process as follows: (1) Jofis died. (2) A certain amount of experience is awarded. This amount is larger because he was considered "immortal". (3) Everyone gets less experience individually because the experience is divided between them. (4) Depending on the level difference (and the excertion in battle) the efficiency of e.g. Salvos receiving the experience changes. If she got experience for every time she broke his spirit, there should have been multiple "Defeated [...]"

Sorry, I really can't stomach "Oh, he was inspired by her overflowing love and all his problems will disappear! Rainbows and Unicorns!" (1) The chapter hinted THAT the skill deeply impacted him but not HOW. (2) Although Salvos is young, neither her nor Manos seem so primitive and unreflected that they are driven by emotion. They seem to have a secular, rational and most importantly truthful view of their situation that drives their actions and also bleeds into their emotions. Like those among the people I met that I would describe as mature and/or successful. Emotions, specifically "love", always remind me of people trying to evade responsibility or force me to do what they want. I have nothing but bad experiences with emotions. That said, I completely agree with the rational interpretation of your conclusion.

Thanks for the chapter! I'm a bit underwhelmed by the reward Salvos got for defeating Jofis. I would have hoped for something extraordinary, given that his skill set was an advanced version of Salvos', his diverse GS and the essence transfer business. But maybe that's reflected in the title. With that out of the way, I really enjoyed this chapter a lot! Manos and Sicar are amazingly fun and the use of [Truth Divination] was executed perfectly!

I like Manos, his banter with Sicar kinda reminds me of The Watcher. :) Also, it's an interesting perspective - what would it do to a good person with a working conscience to be a villain's executioner, having to kill mostly good people who are trying to either defy him or run away. I was initially wary of Manos because if he's inherently bad, he would try to back-stab Salvos sooner or later and just ride her rebellion to the point where everybody else gets killed fighting Regnorex and he then jumps in, finishes him and takes over, the way he just jumped in and finished Jofis. However, his shock at [Truth Divination] might mean he peered into the soul of Salvos and what he saw was completely unexpected. He likely expected ambition, hatred, envy, fear or some other combination of typically demonic emotions, or should I say sins, and what he saw was powerful protective love. He must be like "wow, this might actually be a leader worth following".

Danijel Turina

I wonder what the title might be. She did defeat a former Primordial, and save a million demons. She also used [Worldbreak] to corrupt another being.

Danijel Turina

"Abundant experience is awarded for defeating an immortal enemy!" - that is right and proper, since she's the one who actually softened him up for the kill. She's all in shock because she felt like nothing she's doing is having any effect, but she in fact thoroughly defeated him multiple times, to the point where it would be a shame if nobody saw it all. I wonder if Hartia got enough XP to level, too, since Lotus did quite a bit of work, too.

Danijel Turina

"Hartia, Ultis, and Aliq looked my way, realizing what I was going to do. But Haec wore a confused look on his face. Which made sense. After all, he had never seen me use this Skill before." - that doesn't sound right. Haec *did* see her do it, when they were with Samuel in [The World of My Mind]. Also, if Aliq and Ultis saw her do it, it was when we weren't looking.

Danijel Turina

“What just happened? What did you do to me?” - you just looked into the soul of a God, and saw that it is good. :)

Danijel Turina

I like him a lot; he's intelligent and reasonable, and it's strangely uncommon for those two to actually coincide in the same person. :)

Yay XP!

Manlor

You scared Melas is gonna patch note, Truth Divination

Sivart

I will be very disappointed if Manos dies

Sivart

HELL YA!!! Divine essence can level and there’s a title available!!!

Zuuuuuri

Manos might be my new fav, I need a character illustrator on this series

Sivart

Sicar is asking all the right questions

Sivart

Divine Essence GS can suddenly be upgraded. The same might happen to other Grand Skills or their initial level cap is higher than what we've seen so far.

Alexey Gladkich

Wait the class gives grand skill points? I wonder if that is normal. if the skill all max at level 3 she will have more than enough points.

Tim

Only her Defensive GS is maxed at lvl 3. Claw of Corruption is at lvl 2. The other 2 are at lvl 1. Unkown what lvl the 3 remaining GS max.

Gonvas

"Grand Skill [Racial Skill: Divine Essence of the Angelic Devil Princess] can now be leveled!" - YESS!!!

Danijel Turina

[Truth Divination] showing once /again/ that is the GOAT skill of Salvos' kit and has never failed her once. Please never nerf that beautiful thing. Goddamn that is a LOT of XP given, and it's not even all of it! Manos probably took a gigantic sum. Oh and those grand skills points and the Divine Essence; the numbers going up is always pleasing to see.

Ihaxlikenoob

uuu, truth divination, does it show also worlds demons have never seen, or just feelings?

Użytkownik Przeciętny

How far is Salvos from maxing her Grand Skills?
