Extravaganza 1

A/N 1: While I make you wait the Komand'r chapters, I'm giving you this. Had this idea for a while and it wanted out lol.

A/N 2: MC gets dropped in DxD in the body of a 16 years old Yor Briar (supernaturally enhanced physiology) with all her fighting experience and a soulbound Witchblade (comic) which is actually like a sapient Longinus sacred gear. Eventually she learns to control the Witchblade at great cost of clothes, learn norse and Asian magic and travel through other worlds.

Story start: before issei enters Kuoh academy, 2 years before Canon.

Part 1

I should have shut my goddamn mouth and not mouthed off to people on the Internet, even more so when they debate with you on QQ about how you would survive in DxD. Let's just say that I wish to have made better decisions…

Waking up in an unknown apartment and in a body completely different from my original one was disturbing. My skin tone was pale whereas it has been darker before, then there was the sensation of power that I felt from this body. My fitness was way better than in my previous body; there was also the fact that my senses were so… acute. My vision was crisp and allowed me to see further than before and… were those new colours?

Exploring this new place I found myself in was a priority though, I didn't have the leisure to proceed to a more thorough investigation of my new body. By just looking around, I realised that I am in some sort of loft; there was the living room, the kitchen and dining space.

Walking toward the kitchen and it looked rather nice… professional even. I opened the American fridge and discovered that it was well stocked. Problem was that it was full of Japanese branded food, and I could somehow read the ideograms. Closing the fridge, something was slowly dawning on me.

I might have gotten isekaied if that hadn't been obvious before. Before I could move on in my search inside of the building, something landed on the countertop of the kitchen. It was a note, written in a flowing cursive…

Hello, Iori.

Following our heated and fun conversation on dimensional abduction, perks and power scaling. I decided to send you to titty land, two years before Canon. After scanning your mind to craft a suitable power set for you and to know who your favourite waifu is, I inserted you and gave you a nice background.

I will give you some hints, you're strong and you got a nice macguffin fused to your soul that can't be extracted, I made sure of that.

Now, put your money where your mouth is, you said that you'd thrive and be happy in that death world and get all the waifus; kill, maim, and steal from your enemies.

Will you stay yourself, or become a monster? I want to know! I will be watching my beautiful little toy. Entertain me.

Your Sponsor, Dark Lilith.

I have never felt so much anger before, this being uprooted me from my life, stuffed me into another body and threw me in a Death world. This caused me to feel… somewhat numb for a while,  I hadn't even noticed that I was on my ass on the wooden floor, still holding the note.

I didn't notice it at first but there was something crawling on my arm. It was cold like metal, when I stared at my right arm it was to see a familiar ornate, jewel encrusted, right-handed gauntlet.

{You know me.} A voice resonated in my head.

“Fuck.” I swore aloud as the red jewel started to glow intermittently like a beating heart. The coldness disappeared and I was enveloped in warmth.

*Did that R.O.B bond me with the Witchblade? No wait…* I looked at the note, it said that I have a sacred gear. The Witchblade is my sacred gear…

{I am going to start to believe that you're autistic, my host…} The artifact said in a worried tone, the voice was neither male or female. It was strange.

I stood up and stared at the gauntlet. “You can speak? In the myths surrounding you you never speak…”

{Thank that Demon Goddess for altering me. Actually, I am thankful to her, my parents didn't do a good job at my creation…} I felt genuine feelings coming from the voice, it seemed genuinely honest.

“Do you know why we're here? What we need to do?” I started interrogating the entity.

Strangely, I felt amusement from the artifact as it seemed unconcerned. {No, but I am going to default to what I've been doing since eons, fight for justice and bring balance to this world.}

I cringed at that, I wasn't ready for this, I can't be a hero like Sara Pezzini or Danielle Baptiste; I loved reading about their adventures and see them triumph over the trials sent their way… but I just couldn't be what this primordial entity wanted me to be. “Urgh, I'm not hero material, you know.”

The Millenia old entity stayed silent for a bit, until it retorted, {Who said that? And how would you know?}

“... I was a writer and a gamer, I barely exercised to keep myself fit. My morals are flexible…” But I would never go out of my way to hurt someone who doesn't deserve it. Why spread misery when I could do something better to enrich my surroundings?

{You don't have to worry, you're… strong. Stronger than any of my previous hosts. In you, I see potential for greatness.}

Coming from an entity who had known villains and heroes alike, this was a good endorsement…

Some time later, and with Witchblade's company, I took stock of my situation quite quickly. I discovered that I do have a background in this world, I am rich and half Japanese (supposedly), my name Usagiyama Iori. I see what that Goddess did there… and I wasn't happy about it. She even robbed me of my original name, as I didn't remember it at all. Not even the name of my parents or friends.

That was done to make me accept this situation I bet, and build bonds in this new world. At least she didn't leave me without resources…

The money I possess was invested in properties and other small businesses that my family had before their demise, I inherited their fortune and assets. I was at least a multi-millionaire, it was a decent start up… until I realised that I live in Kuoh town and that my dead family was originally affiliated with the Kyoto Youkai.

Was this what that Goddess meant by providing me a nice background? Everything I discovered hinted that I have supernatural blood running through my supposed family.

{You're going to attract all sorts of trouble.} The entity commented as it must have read my mind.

I glared at the silver bracelet with a big, red jewel on top of it, the dormant form of the artifact. “Isn't that what you want?”

{Indeed, nevertheless you must first be able to fight, I won't have my host be a sitting duck. Come here…}

The world suddenly became dark… and I found myself standing inside a forest clearing. Standing on a stylized rock formation which looked like something the Norse would have come up with, I asked, “Where am I?”

{Welcome, this is the mental space that is the bridge between our consciousness. Space and time doesn't matter here, here I can teach you everything about fighting; you'll be able to fight my past wielders’ foes or maybe learn from them.}

“I don't have a choice, do I? I must fight anyway.”

{There is always a choice, fight or death, since time immemorial. Get ready}

“Okay, time to go Dovahkiin here.” I said as I readied myself.

That resolve all changed when I heard the crack of a branch being stepped on. I turned in the direction of the noise and… I saw a horse sized wolf with shaggy fur looking at me with its fang showing and threads of drool coming out of its muzzle.

It galloped to me, charging in with its eyes filled with hunger and death. I was quite paralyzed until something inside took over, I lowered to the ground and twisted my body to kick the creature's flank. With a whine full of pain I sent the animal crashing into a tree.

I landed on a knee and with a hand on the ground, not realising what I did for a second. But I didn't have time to wonder about my sudden fighting capabilities as the beast came for more. It was less fast and part of its ribs' bone pierced its skin and fur. I finished it with an axe kick, crushing its head somehow.

“Eww.” My right sandal is full of blood and bits.

{Get used to the blood, you're not done yet.} The entity said amused.

It was at this point in time that I discovered that there were more giant wolves, at least five of them. What followed next was a deadly dance that showed me the true nature of life. It is a struggle, and the harder the struggle, the more glorious the triumph.

I punched, kicked, evaded devastating claw swipes and almost got mauled and eaten. I didn't escape this ordeal without injuries either; I got deep lacerations from their claws on my arms and legs. The sight of my blood made me grow cold and start killing them brutally or target parts of their bodies which rob them of their movements by paralysing their limbs.

It was at this point that I understood that I have the skills and experience of a martial artist etched in my muscle memory and mind. Allowing me to move in a familiar fashion. I was at the centre of the clearing when everything around me was dead; my body was coiled for action and I was breathing hard.

{Well done, my Host.} I felt pride emanating from the voice and the presence around me.

I couldn't help but scream, “I almost got killed!”

This was the first time that I had to fight for my life, I wanted to sleep and not think about this again. I will never see dogs the same way anymore… but deep inside I had liked killing things with my bare hands.

The voice was sarcastic as it said, {But you survived and you won't freeze when humans and supernatural beings try to attack you. But this isn't enough, you'll have to get stronger, my Host. You'll soon need to learn to wield me after you have mastered your senses and your body.}

This pretty much told me that I wasn't done here. I was proven right when I saw a red haired woman with silver bikini armour and a fur cape walking toward me. She pulled her sword out of its sheath and stared intensely at me.

She looked like… Red Sonja. “Shit…”

Gasp!

I opened my eyes, and noticed that I was laying on the carpeted ground. Sitting up right away, I immediately looked at the time and noticed that only one hour passed compared to the two days I have spent in my shared mindscape with Witchblade.

The entity just pulled me into a fight to the death with monster-like animals and powerful people from immemorial times. The people kicked my ass, Red Sonja, and Conan the Barbarian, taught me that hesitating could spell death. I died three times in the mindscape; it wasn't a true death, more like an ultra-realistic simulation.

I felt the pain of being stabbed with a sword and felt the feelings of death when the cold darkness of death spread in my body. Never again. I felt a gout of hatred for the Witchblade to have me go through this; but a burst of clarity came to my mind as I understood that it was also saving my life by providing me with this experience and fights.

The entity stayed strangely silent while I was having this realisation. It was letting me make my own conclusions, and in the end I said to it, “Thank you.”

{You're very welcome, my Host.}

Grmmmbl. I looked down at my belly and realised that I was hungry; and was a bit embarrassed that my body ruined the moment. I decided to go order food… and decided to use a safe choice: Pizza.

I was confused though, how come this world has Smartphones as good as my old world when we're in 2008? This is strange, or is it a quirk of anime worlds? Thanks to my laptop that I found on the desk in my bedroom, I looked at the carte on the most prestigious Pizzeria at Kuoh.

The pizza arrived 30 minutes later, it was a classic American pizza, ham, cheese, sausages and pepperoni. As I started eating, this entire affair made me realise that I live on the outskirts of town, out of the way. I needed to start putting defences around the house as well. But I only trusted myself to put the magic around, but I didn't know magic at all.

“Witchblade, do you have some past hosts which were magic users?” I said before taking a bite of my pizza's slice.

{Several. However the nature of magic is different in this realm, you won't be able to use the magic of my universe into this one. I suggest that you find the local version of a magic user and have them teach you. Still I recommend caution as you do so.}

“How different? If I remember the wiki well, DxD magic for humans is just knowledge to control equations, i.e. using your head and making calculations.” Isn't it just like the magic in Youjo Senki? They did use Mathematical formulas to shape spells. This has potential…

{For a being such as I, it is best to describe it that the environment in which I was created was primal, untamed, the magic also relied more on willpower than it does here, it's like the beings in this new universe rely on imagination.

Because of that fact, it is easy to conclude that lower beings must rely on deciphering and understand the primeval essence of this universe to be able to manipulate miracles. However, this doesn't concern you my Host, you're not a normal human, you can use the two types of magic. Remember that your body and very essence were forged by a being that transcends Gods.}

When Witchblade was done explaining, I started thinking about what I should do. Right at this moment I was rich and had enough money for a lifetime. Couldn't I hire one of the local magicians in Japan to teach me? I remember that I need to avoid The Five Principal Clans, five well known distinguished clans, which have purified evil spirits since ancient times.

My best bet was someone who was exiled from their family, or go to Kyoto to find the Fox mommy Youkai in Ura-Kyoto. But like Witchblade said, I should be prudent about my approach…

Finally thanks 😊 🙏
