miniBoss Demo 7-2-2019 (CHAAAAARGE!)
Added 2019-07-03 00:30:06 +0000 UTCHey all! Arfus and I have whipped together a brand new demo for your enjoyment! This significantly builds on the events of the first demo, introducing a bunch of new locations and characters you haven't seen in-game yet! This demo is representative of many months of game framework building, story building, and UI design.
This demo is only a fraction of the story we have written out, there's a lot more to come.
We wanted to get one last round of feedback before finalizing the direction of the game. The pieces are there, every major game system is in. All that's left is code for one-off minigames scattered through the narrative, and general polish for the existing tools.
Basically, we're done building our custom tool kit.
From here out, we're going to be focused on using these systems to deliver the rest of the game. Content progress is only going to be limited by the speed at which can expand and translate our 'screenplay' into playable game scenes, and Arfus's ability to draw new backgrounds and characters.
This build represents about a fifth of our currently planned story.
Things are heating up, and we're electric with excitement.
We've loved working on the game and mingling with all of you in Discord over these past months, and are immensely humbled by your continued support. Our fans and supporters are astonishing.
