Changes!

As promised yesterday, an update post doth arrive!

Hear ye, hear ye! Henceforth and forthwith our approach to the illustrious development for the miniest of bosses shall be changething thusly.

First, we're never writing an update intro that like one again. I know, whew.

Second, we're shifting our approach to a more normal game development cycle. Instead of polishing little demos one after another, we're going to let placeholder art serve while we assemble the pieces of the story. This will enable us to deliver updates more frequently, and iterate faster!

Well, provided you all don't rise up and collectively bop us for shipping unpolished builds.

We think this'll be a reasonable way to get feedback on the story and really feel out the flow of the game without needing to throw away a ton of work should a section not be as entertaining as we expected. This means more opportunities to tell us we suck! Score!

Otherwise, by releasing more frequently, we can also get feedback for non-art linked gameplay elements. Yanno, minigames, menus, and the text box.

Speaking of the text box, we're currently looking to clamp down on its size by about 30%! We heard it talking trash to the other UI elements, bullying them because it's bigger. It obscures Arfus's cool art and acts like it's SO COOL. But it's not. It's a little nerd, and we think that its size should reflect this.
