David Stern 77 & Luka Doncic 77
Added 2020-01-04 19:12:44 +0000 UTCI need to make a video about the Mavericks and the number 77 that has followed some of their games this year. Their star player, Luka Doncic, wears the #77, and the death of David Stern at age 77. On Thursday, the day after David Sterns death, they played their 77th all time h2h match up against Nets and won. This is not the first time I have see the 77th h2h this year with Mavericks.
Another example that comes to mind was when Mavericks and Pistons played in Mexico earlier in December. It was their 77th all time h2h match up and Mavericks became 17-7 for the season that night with the win. "Luka Doncic" = 177 in four base ciphers
Luka Doncic currently leads 1st round NBA All-Star voting along side Giannis Antetokounmpo. Not to say this will lead to Mavericks in playoffs or even deep into playoffs, but it is a pattern that keeps showing itself, and with the death of former NBA commissioner at age 77, it's something to just watch for.
