Picks Preview: World Series - Dodgers vs Rays - Game Three

In this 6 minute video, I go over the Dodgers narrative, and then I go over the Rays narrative. I can make a case for either side but I am leaning more towards one over the other. As always, my final pick will be in writing before game time.

Are you UFC 254?

7 NINJAS

Yeah with Kershaw pitching in game five who wears the #22, I can see the series being tied 2-2 heading into Sunday

My Sports Gematria

One way or another I anticipate a 22nd season loss before game 5 but between today and tomorrow it seems most likely tonight for me.

Daniel

I guess my only rebuttal to that would be today being the 347th day of Mortons age, the 69th prime, today leaving 69 left in the Gregorian year

Rays on sitting on 50 wins for the season with #50 on the mound?

My Sports Gematria

Im not sure I follow you I apologize

My Sports Gematria

Rays will become 6-0 all-time in postseason when Morton pitches. Walker Buehler = 60 and stay on 50 WS wins vs #50.

Daniel

You are speaking of official pitcher win loss records. That is not what those game logs are. The game logs i am alluding to is the team record when said pitcher makes an appearance in a game. For example the Rays are 5-0 all-time in the postseason when Morton pitches. Has nothing to do with how many innings he pitches. That is the accurate way to analyze "pitcher records". After game 1 the Dodgers are 256-137 all-time when Kershaw pitches in a game. "Tampa Bay" = 137 so he will stay on 137 through game 5 his next game. Game 1 was the 252nd all-time postseason game for LAD. "Two hundred fifty two" = 256. The reason I thought they would lose game 1 had to do with total WS games and game 1 was their 118th WS game but they got 119th win.

Daniel

"Twenty One" = 141 - I never use Pitchers w/l records because 20-30% of the time in a pitchers career on average, when a pitcher starts, he doesn't record a win or a loss for himself

My Sports Gematria

Charlie Morton = 70 as LAD pickup 70th WS loss

Daniel

To see the records I am alluding to go to baseball reference, search Charlie Morton, scroll down to "pitching game logs" , and choose postseason. You would get 140 total wins if you add all the wins from the 14 game logs listed on his profile.

Daniel

Also Morton all over that hebrew religious calendar in more ways than your stats allude to that favor him. For win loss records for pitchers i go off of team record for pitchers when they make an appearance. They have it setup that way on baseball reference. You'll notice Morton is 8-4 in postseason when he pitches all-time in postseason. Can become 9-4. Would also be the 141st time teams win when Morton makes an appearance in a game all-time. 141 days left and Walker Buehler = 141.

Daniel

You have it correct on your video but record incorrect. It is the 8th WS gm for TBR but with win they would be 3-5 not 3-6.
