Hello Patreon Family! A member this morning had a question about why we post a cover photo such as this one on every post, instead of answering just the one member I wanted to answer this question for everyone incase others had the same question..
Added 2021-01-29 21:25:05 +0000 UTCThere are several reasons why I use a cover photo:
1. To protect your content that you pay for...Patreon blurs images but let’s face it they don’t do a good job and so people who are not members can see what is being posted everyday simply by looking at the blurred photos on each post. This way the cover photo protects your photos from being seen daily by unpaid members or people who come to Patreon to harm Kylin.
2. I think a cover photo sets the tone/theme for each day so I enjoy using them for this reason as well. Sometimes I forget to add the cover photo so I will delete the post and repost...this is why sometimes you will see that a post was deleted but they always go back up properly.
3. Posting cover photos requires a bit more work but I do think they add a little fun to the page as well...

2021-01-29 21:42:02 +0000 UTCI’ve never minded the cover photos honestly, i have always thought they did exactly what you said “set the tone or theme” of that days set like throwback Thursday or after dark. They cover photos you use are good the way they are no need to put a whole lot of work into them.
