I am allergic to cats too. I have lived with them for a time as an adult but had to be extremely careful. And that was after years of those allergy shots that made my allergies less severe. I'm also allergic to cats, so was tested when I was 16, and found out I was allergic to some foods, household dust, mold, cottonwood, and 20 other misc. Items. So KY I would get the allergy test at a specialist. They formulated a shot based on everything I was allergic to and only had to take monthly for one year then I had to take a pill every so often and allergies were gone. I have 4 cats and a dog. Anyways it's something to consider to find out if your allergic to other things too. Goodluck🙃💜
