2020-05-12 01:05:11 +0000 UTCI really liked the inverse power struggle whilst the queers were in jail. Strong statement on staying united! Though it's real easy to stay intimidating when there's two buff bears in your group... regardless! And gosh darn it, I haven't felt this much pay off from a violent scene in a while, very rewarding after so many setbacks. Even if there's still place for one more obvious setback... not a complete victory yet as long as Finn isn't seen safe and sound. Nothing really that constructive to say, I just really liked what this chapter had to offer!

On the more serious side, as much as I laughed, I don't think this is a joke. “Yer bollocks still intact?” “They hadn’t quite gotten that far, sir.” The thought of characters being mutilated and the priest equating gay men with pedophiles is both horrifying and a sobering reflection on the real world. In all of your previous works, I don't think any of them had this much impact on me or stated things in such a deeply visceral way. It's one thing to say people are being hanged but the idea of death as a consequence is lighter somehow, cleaner. This was so much more real, and I'm glad to see it.

I can’t imagine him dying now that you made him into a compelling character with such strong emotion of a man he is.

Fantastic chapter, as usual - and I'm back to being eager to see what happens next, in a good way, rather than being filled with anxiety/dread. No blame, mind you, having my emotions yo-yo'd around like that means I'm heavily invested in the plot XD. It's a compliment.
