What To Expect This Month
Added 2020-06-04 20:18:58 +0000 UTCI'm thinking about doing occasional month summaries, or at least quarterly summaries, so you all know what to expect over the next few months. Here's what I'll be posting here over the summer, starting soon -
Continued Polled Images - This month's image will feature Finn / Tulimak, with manacles ; ) The polls and images are available to everyone on every tier, but higher res versions will be available for higher res tiers.
Short Stories - These, like Kindred, will continue on the 'The Full Story' tier. The one this month is a short story featuring Finn and Tuli, directly following the events of 'Kindred'. It's kind of a 'life and family, characters adjusting to domesticity' thing, and will most importantly be told from the perspective of Finnegan, prominently focusing on his personal, often internal conflicts. Our wolfdog doesn't always share his struggles, so this will be a chance to peer inside, for once.
Red Lantern - This is the big one. After a LOT of careful thought, I've decided that provided my Patreon income continues to go up a little each month, I might be able to re-focus on the comic. Right now, I am still not exactly making enough to pay all my bills each month, but I am skating by on savings still, and I'm hoping by the end of the summer, with a productive Patreon and a lot of content, and the continued support from you all, I'll be able to full-time this comic, whether conventions return in the fall or not. This is EXTREMELY contingent on my Patreon income, so again. . . thank you all. This one's fragile. I want to get back to the comic, I do NOT want to fall back on fanart and smut comics, but- real talk here - I will do whatever I have to to pay my mortgage and feed my dogs. I don't just have myself to think about. I have other people and pets relying on me.
I am going to start by producing backgrounds this month, which this time around I am doing solo, being as I'm now the only artist on the project. I maaaaay get the bones of the first page spread up this month, we'll see. The first pages of this volume are VERY background-heavy. And we've always tried to make the first page spread real impressive.
Patreon Commissions - Thanks to Kindred, I've fallen behind on these, but I'm working on catching up now. If you're on this list and you're at all concerned about your place in line or want very badly to see progress, please don't sit on that - reach out to me. I can be reached at rukiscroax@hotmail.com , the message system here on Patreon SUCKS, I do not use it much.
Print/Book Packs - I'm also behind on these. The reason for this is unfortunately post-related. I have an older printer, and the ink for it is hard to get my hands on, the only steady supply I've had for a while is on Amazon, and they've been taking weeks to get it to me. I've finally just resorted to buying it from Staples, where it's INSANELY expensive, but at least I'll finally get these in the mail.
Bit long, but I wanted to be thorough! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy out there.

I don't know the feeling of making comic books. So, I don't know how to feel about having partners that become unavailable. "Red Lantern" is your universe, which I subscribe to, and I pretty much beg for closure all the time. Your Female Menagerie on Kickstarter has my support because the sketches are artistic. What I do know is having ideas for many small things, but wanting to focus on one project at a time.

2020-06-05 00:08:44 +0000 UTCAhhh, I can't wait to see my boys living together!! We never saw them at domestic life so it's ought to be interesting! And stay safe as well, the coming days, weeks, months... who knows how long, are bound to get rougher and rougher for sure.
