Red Lantern Adult Pages
Added 2019-01-01 05:09:45 +0000 UTCHey all. There was a thread on one of my recent posts about this, so I thought I'd address it.
I'd be happy to post the adult pages of Red Lantern here, (probably for 'The Full Story' tier and up) but I've got one big roadblock to doing so, and the issue is sites (one in particular) that re-post everything I post here. I've long since accepted that this was going to happen, and I have faith in you guys continuing your support here (although I have actually lost about 1/3 of my income here since these sites came into being, so the effect isn't negligible).
In short, the only thing I can think to do, because I DO in fact think you guys deserve to get these pages, is go about sending the pages out on a personal basis, via e-mail. I've heard other creators do this, and while it's not practical for my normal posts, I could do it this one time.
One thing to note, haha! The adult pages you're all probably referring to, the scene with Dhaval and Isolde, aren't actually FINISHED yet, lol. So that's another reason I can't post them right now. We skipped ahead to finish the final two scenes of the comic. Once they're done though, here's what you can do to receive them-
- Make sure you're at the 'Full Story' tier. These pages would be on TOP of the stories, you won't miss out on any of the writing. One month at this tier is enough to receive the pages.
- Contact me THROUGH Patreon. I know I'm slow on answering messages here, but I'll be sure to get to every request eventually over the next month, which is about how long until those pages will be available.
- Provide your e-mail address in your message. I'll make a list, and send the pages out to you personally via e-mail
- Don't post them anywhere? I mean, I can't stop any of you. I'm not an idiot. I'm just imploring you to be a decent person. If Patreon becomes completely stripped of its ability to work as a reliable income source for me, there won't be any more advance content, extra content or side stories. I love that this site allows me to do this stuff, and I hope you guys do, too. What's more, insuring the extra pages don't get spread around online is one of the things my Publishers expect of me, and it's their ability to profit on my comics that's also on the line, here. A lot of people get hurt when paid content gets stolen, and it hurts your community's ability to publish and create the content you all love. So, please. Just keep that all in mind before you decide to do something shitty.
I know most of you all are awesome. There are a few bad apples, and they're making things like this more complicated for me. But I don't mind putting in a little more legwork to get you guys the content you want. I hope that's enough <3

2019-05-05 14:55:03 +0000 UTCYeah, we'll be able to ship them abroad. I'll make TONS of announcements about it once I have copies, so just keep an eye out this spring/early summer.

2019-01-07 03:08:42 +0000 UTCThe method the Lennon suggested works! It is a pity that Patreon makes it so difficult to email creators

2019-01-02 23:31:30 +0000 UTCI think it's admirable of you to do this Rukis, especially in a situation where you're not obligated to put what guarantees your livelihood in a potentially dangerous situation. I didn't know adult scenes represented such a huge impact for sales (I mean I figure it matters, but wow!) I'd be happy to buy a printed version of the comics, but I'm not sure if they can be shipped abroad? (I live in Europe). Regardless, thank you very much for the work and effort you put in this comic and your community! Not many would have bothered to reach out and offer something like this!

2019-01-02 20:33:46 +0000 UTCoof.. this is less than intuitive. I expected this to be my own message inbox, and was searching for a "contact this artist" button on the post and on Rukis' profile..

2019-01-01 23:11:38 +0000 UTCWhen you print a book, there has to be signs that a copy is bootlegged. It's sad that fighting over stolen artwork or files posted without consent is near impossible to fight.

2019-01-01 15:12:32 +0000 UTCClick on the message icon at the top of this screen. Should be close or next to the home button. Once you do that click 'new message' then type her name. Rukis should pop up so click on that and type the message. It's simple.

2019-01-01 15:09:06 +0000 UTCI also dont see any way to contact you directly, although my physical address is correct. The email is usable, but there is one that is preferable. How do we contact you directly?

2019-01-01 14:43:19 +0000 UTCI've upgraded to the 10$ tier now. I just can't find any way to contact you directly..

2019-01-01 13:02:59 +0000 UTCI totally agree. They all need to go.
2019-01-01 11:26:55 +0000 UTCI know this site being referred to.. I always feel like I'm in a pirate's den on the rare occasions I visit there. I agree with Lennon. I always wait for the printed version to see it all. The explicit content is not as important to me as the main story - I see it as bonus content I don't mind waiting for.
2019-01-01 11:25:17 +0000 UTCIt's pretty damn shitty people do things like this but they certainly do! Personally, I wouldn't do it as many can't be trusted here unfortunately! I do however know one of the main sites pirated work ends up on and I'll be keeping an eye on it and If I see these pages there I'll let you know. There's nothing more I hate than trusting someone only to have them turn around and stab you in the back! It's something that's happened to me more than once and I don't want to see it happen to you. I'll just wait till I buy a hard copy from you as I've always done over the past decade I've known you.

2019-01-01 07:07:56 +0000 UTCI understand. I've sent you a private message with my email. Thanks for doing this for us Rukis, I really appreciate it. A lot of other creators wouldn't have bothered.

2019-01-01 06:17:59 +0000 UTCDropbox got rid of its 'public folder' link option awhile back. In order for me to share it with you there I'd need your e-mail address anyway. This is really the best way I can think to do this, I'm sorry if you don't want to share your e-mail.

2019-01-01 06:17:36 +0000 UTCI think that’s really generous of you. I would support your decision not to post them anywhere outside of the printed material too if you change your mind. I support you here because your stories have done more for my mental health than most things, and I really want you to have the resources to continue creating them. I’ll continue buying your published works no matter what. Do what you need to do and thank you for what you contribute to our community Rukis. Your work means so much to me!

2019-01-01 05:32:12 +0000 UTCRukis, as an alternative you could consider uploading the pages once they're finished to a file hosting site such as Dropbox and sending the link to all your eligible patreons through Patreon's private message system. It's much more convenient for everyone as it means that we don't have to send you our email addresses and you don't have to spend a lot of time sending the pages to us individually. I'm fairly certain Patreon has a feature that allows you to send private messages enmasse to patreons of a certain tier or higher. A lot of creators I know use this method.
