I remember a movie a long way back - a western - where one of the male characters had the 'pox'. At that time the only cure was to pass a heated length of wire through the urethra. However coming in to a large town he insisted the the latest White Man Medicine could cure it with just a couple of pills. So he went to the doctor and was horrifies when the doctor produced an oil lamp an a piece of wire. "But.. But.. Surely there is a pill for that" he cried The doctor replied "You got it the same old way.. I cure it the same old way" Screams ensured...
