Kindred After Epilogue - COMPLETE

The entirety of the After Epilogue!

This is a chapter immediately following the Epilogue of Kindred.  If you've not read Kindred yet, it may not make much sense to you.  So y'know. . . read Kindred.  If you're on this tier you have access to it.  Do it.

As ever, I'd love to hear what you all think!

Just finished reading Kindred again. Really worth it. I tend to rush to get to the end to see how it all turned out. Missed a lot of the subtleties, the interactions between Finn and Tuli as they were making their way to the raft and that first night in particular. The way Finn was kind of hinting and Tuli just being adorably clueless was great. The development of Odina as a character and her relationship with Tuli was something I didn't pay enough attention to as well. I should have said it the first time that it was nice that Epilogue and Scars We Choose were from Finn's perspective. Still not sure on the whole Tuli is not a murderer thing. Maybe he's just not quite as broken as everyone else.

Just finished all of Kindred, Read them slightly out of order. Scars We Choose first. But, I'd already read some posts about Tuli and Finn and even before starting Kindred it made sense. As for Kindred, yes, it was very moving and enjoyable., Albeit, a little hard to take in some parts. (Sawyer) Can't help being jealous of Finn. His mate doubles as a furry blanket/bed. The only thing that struck me as maybe no quite right, was the discussion of Tuli as a murderer. Tuli will kill to protect his mate, family, and friends. But will only do it as a reaction. It won't be proactive or premeditated. He was certainly trying to kill Gezan, or at least showing no regard for his life. (Not that he deserved any.) For all we know, Gezan was dying from the beating Tuli inflicted, before Finn shot him. What he wasn't, was an immediate threat. I'd say it's not that Tuli isn't a murderer, what he isn't is an executioner. That's left to Finn. He's been far more damaged by the evil of the world, and is willing, compelled by his experiences to take a mark against his soul to be certain those he loves are safe. Already starting reading it again, because I enjoyed it and you alway pick up more the second time around. BTW Loved the paragraph about Tuli in the Basin considering what to tell his dad about Finn, and then the whole scent marking conversation when you could just feel Finn grin and Tuli squirm.

Finally read it. Loved it. Though I do carry a bias to a certain thing Tuli did there too :)

Truly heart-warming, you can feel the love between them. It's great that Tulimak has got a bit more confident too. (I did notice a little thing though "I was nowhere near ready… but I would have let him to do it.")

These two are just so damn cute together!

Love it! You really capture the emotion very nicely in this. I love seeing Finn unreservedly happy for a change!
