This is perfect Kylin. Great coaching shows becuse you didnt overact. Very conversational approach. I posted this after I read the goal of your post. So you hit your target, and you don't need those extra inflections. Nicely done. The comments about what Kylin’s doing… she’s making all that up because in the movie, Emma Stone’s barely in the scene. It’s mostly clips of the movies being referenced (I’ve seen “Easy A” a couple -dozen- times). It’s an interpretation, and it’s fine as is. Petyr, great feedback! Please see the update I posted about this piece…it will explain better and you’ll have a better understanding about this piece. The camera sees everything and in this piece subtly is key. Kylin excels at emoting with facial expressions but when you have real emotions you don’t need to emote with your face, it will do it all on it’s own but authentically.

(Edit) I love it, you definitely made me want to reassure you, so I bought your performance! As for feedback… Push it more! You’ve know how in modeling you have to exaggerate some poses and really thrust a hip or knee or shoulder in weird positions? That exaggeration is the same thing as dramatization in acting. Apply a little more drama! Really emote your facial expressions, inflect and project with your voice! Make it ridiculous! Then pull it down to a more reasonable level. You’ve got the ability to do it, you can put yourself in the role really well! Now you just need to hone your ability better to sell the dynamics of emotion in each scene. You’ve got this!
