Don’t ask, don’t tell. No need to bring something to their attention that they don’t need to be concerned with much like that they can still post modeling photos and videos on Instagram. The photos and videos don’t even need to be associated with Patreon or that mentioned if you really want to play it safe. It can just be part of a mailing list that Patreon subscribers just happen to be on

It’s not much of a risk really and I doubt they need a Diamond account or would bother. They can see everything posted on Patreon so don’t need to actually subscribe. This is all about appearances so as long as modeling content is not posted on Patreon or linking to it from a Patreon post then it should be no problem. It only becomes a problem if you mention it to them and let them decide like not even allowing modeling photos in regular clothes as an example. The truth is many people subscribe for the modeling photos so if they don’t post then those people will cancel and once they leave it’s more difficult to bring them back when the website is ready. I am just saying that not finding a way to deliver modeling content is probably worse than getting into trouble with this platform that is not even the long term solution or plan.

That's assuming Patreon wouldn't find out. What's to say they don't have a Diamond account here already to monitor for just such activities? It's not worth the risk imo. Either ask if it's ok or just ride this month out. If content is going to be distributed via email anyways just do it off their own site next month. A site that can safely accept credit card payments. Have a basic "Members Only Area" where text can be posted and YT links shared for updates and an email list for content can be gathered isn't that tall of an order for 3.5 weeks. Especially if the site has been being considered for the better part of half a year. Leaving after these changes isnt burning bridges, they don't have to delete their account. They can maintain it so communication with former members is still possible. But subverting Patreon's rules and getting banned might burn that bridge for sure.

One reason for not leaving Patreon completely is that they are able to message both current and former patrons to let them know when the website is ready for example. It might also be beneficial to keep around if they want to do something on Patreon when Kylin turns 18. It is better not to burn bridges since they have returned to Patreon previously after a hiatus at the previous website. Best to keep options open.

Asking for permission gives Patreon more control than they have a right to. As long as it isn’t posted on their platform directly I don’t see how they have jurisdiction. It is not illegal by any means plus Patreon pulled the rug out with almost no notice. It’s strange that Patreon became more strict than Instagram, YouTube, and even TikTok but they have investors among other things that may have pressured them into this change.

I hope you're right. But it would still be people paying through Patreon for content Patreon wouldn't allow on it's site. Worth confirming it's ok to do before risking anything atleast.

It is just a temporary solution until website is ready. Other suggestion that would also secure the content is to use Google Photos and click to share with Patreon subscribers there. Only thing required is for people to share a gmail account if not linked to their Patreon already. My Patreon is not linked to my gmail account and at this point it’s probably too risky to try to change it since some people are having issues joining Patreon and selecting a tier as mentioned on community board.

I understand based on the previous experience with discord that people are gun shy but I am not talking about a public discord server that anyone can join. It would be secured so only people with active Patreon membership could access. The access is controlled and checked against Patreon and only thing required is linking Patreon with your discord account and following the steps provided by Patreon to set it up. Other Patreon creators like the Daily Tech News Show have discord servers like that which are Patreon only. As far as invite links being shared, they can be set to expire plus if anyone joined that wasn’t subscribed to Patreon they couldn’t access anything anyway.

I have seen other Patreon creators share content externally that they either want to protect more or is not allowed on Patreon itself and Patreon seems to be okay with it. As long as they don’t share the link on Patreon itself, it should be fine.

Haven't watched the video yet but with regards to sharing links I went through the Patreon support pages to see if there has been a policy update but it looks like sharing links to external galleries or image sets is still ok... "You can share links with users, which is an option for sharing image sets with patrons." This is how a lot of the cosplayers operate - at least the 3 I've been subscribed to at various points. That said, Patreon's policies likely extend to content supplied by external links so I'd be surprised if this is a viable option.

Thanks for the update. You should very seriously consider leaving Patreon next month no matter what. Even if all you have is a site who's only functionality is safely accepting credit card payments, go to it. Patreon doesn't deserve a single cent more from you. Updates can be posted to YouTube and you currently can't have shoots here so if you dont have them on the site right away it's no different. Except Patreon won't be taking a cut. As for shoots this month? Would Patreon even allow you to distribute content outside of Patreon in anyway? Would they use that as a reason to remove you and take away what income you have made for this month? Just be careful, don't risk what you have already. Everyone who chose to rejoin this month should have done so not expecting shoots. Good luck with everything🤞Keep everyone involved, we can all brain storm and try to find solutions together. Might help ease the load for you guys ❤️
