Wheel Menu Alpha 0.0.5: Armor Support, Custom Icons

Hello! Here's an updated version of wheeler after a weekend of hacking.

Changelogs:

- Add support for armor and torches. Now you can equip armor, clothing, jewelry, etc... through the wheel directly.

- Add custom icon support. I'll soon write documentation for this feature. In short, mod authors can add custom icons to items of specified formID or keyword. This should be useful for mods like Elden Rim where you have a ton of custom skills with custom icons that are now easily accessible through the wheel.

- Add support for animated armoury icons.

- Better input filtering. Now all irrelevant inputs should be filtered out when wheel is active. In addition, when certain menu(such as console) is open, pressing the hot key no longer activates the wheel.

hi dtry, i just downloaded the wheeler 005. no matter what i do or which buttons i use, it always says: "no wheel present"!? :)

I am sorry if I am becoming annoying, but there is one feature which I consider very important for gamepad users, which I would like to suggest. That is being able to set a different key to open the wheel during the menus as during the game. Why? Right now, all my buttons are used for something already when using SkyUI. Except for pressing the right stick. That however would conflict a lot with TrueHUD during gameplay. So for me it would help so much, if I could assign two different hotkeys for 'Open in game' and 'open during menu'.

I have severe issues using this with a gamepad. It is most likely because I mapped left and right attack to my triggers instead of shoulder buttons. I can not assign anything to the wheel once I open it in the equipment menu. If you want me to send you my controlmap.txt for verification via Discord, let me know.

hi, I just want to add 2 thoughts to it. 1. We GOG users can not use Steam and would have to use Gamepad ++, which is a great temporary solution. 2. I have tried the Steam one in the past and a native integration works way smoother and more reliable. Like I said in my other comment, take your time and do whatever you enjoy making. Even without that feature, it'll be so helpful for us gamepad users. Thanks so much for making this :)

That helped! Thank you! Is there documentation about this somewhere on how to use it? I was able to make segments and add whatever weapon I have equipped individually. Is there a way to add armor too?

in SKSE\Plugins\wheeler\resources\fonts, open fontConfig.ini and set the language to your desired one, and drag the .ttf font file into the corresponding folder. I guess your game is in Russian, so you need a Russian font file for the fonts to show up

Hi, one termporary fix you could use is to use Steam's official key binding tool(opened through big screen mode), where you can let a combined key-binding emit a custom keypress on keyboard, and bind that custom keypress through the dmenu. For example, you can have LB + RB trigger one "U" key press on the keyboard, and that bind "U" through dMenu. IK that's not the easiest way to do it and I'll see if i can implement combined keybinding in the future.

Did you add segments? After you create a new wheel you have to hit "m" to create segments in that new wheel.

What would be useful is different hotkeys for specific wheels I am thinking of an option to use vanilla hotkeys to open specific wheels. I am using Seiro's hotkeys and for gamepads it is super useful, that I can use vanilla hotkeys and attach cycles to them That way I can assign any button combination via the controlmap.txt file for hotkeys and use them to cycle through hotkeys Either that or key combinations for specific wheels (Or at least for the first one) would be great It's probably to much to ask for a double tap feature as well. So that I can double tap a should button to open a wheel If all that would be possible, the life for controller users would be great

Can someone offer help with the installation? I don't see the wheel itself come up when I press capslock. When I go into inventory and press capslock I am able to create a new wheel but the wheel itself doesnt show at all. I installed Easy Wheel Menu thinking that could be the issue but its still not working for me.

I support the request of Noah Cobbs to add key combinations or maybe even long press and double tap as an option. As a gamepad/controller user, my options are limited and each mod author who adds more flexibility to assign keys is highly appreciated and makes my life easier :)

Is it possible for you to make the dMenu or Wheeler’s .ini file to read combined keybindings? Ex. LB+RB (274+275) [gamepad keys] At its current state, it can only read one key/button.

Found a bug where if you have a menu open and then open the console, the hotkey will still open the wheel in edit mode during text input in the console. Also Curious if it's possible to inherit icons from the i4 Inventory Interface Information Injector? I imagine that's a pretty huge ask though lol

You have to make a new wheel. Open your inventory, then press caps lock, and press N for a new wheel.

Is there a way to scale and move the entire wheel? I see a lot of settings for specific pieces of the wheel but not the wheel as a whole.

I have a problem.....when I add an equipment with a custom name to the wheel(for example a steel sword which I renamed 'Inferno' during enchanting),the custom name would not work in the wheel, it's always showing the original name.

Let me start by saying that this is just amazing, i tried 0.0.4 version first and it already replaced so many quick menu mods already. Its so practical and well made , amazing job! Ive encountered an issue tho, when clicking settings inside dmenu i get CTD. I copied my settings from the previous version when updating, do you think it could be caused by that?

I've noticed that I can add an empty entry to the wheel when I'm inside my inventory even though I didn't toggle Wheeler to modify it. For example using the search bar and pressing whatever key is assigned (default M) will add another slot

All what I think would improve is.... its no nagging, but I would like a MCM menu to change the buttons and also look how the control is ingame. Dont understand it as critique, but it is necessery to go online, check the buttons, especially after the installation.
