ValhallaCombat 0.10 PreRelease(AE&SE)
Added 2022-07-31 21:52:35 +0000 UTCChangelog:
a ton of stability improvements; all reported CTD causes should be fixed.
tighter perfect block frame(0.1s), now it's much harder to trigger; It was fairly easy to do in the previous version and makes the player kind of OP.
new, fancier spark effect on perfect block(stole from Sekiro Combat), if you prefer the old block spark, change it in MCM.
changed stamina consumption formula(hit to gain stamina, heavy attack costs % of stamina) back to vanilla while leaving the old valhalla stamina consumption optional.
Elden Parry integration: if you've installed Elden Parry, parries will do stun damage.
a ton of optimization and cleanup
This is it people. Thanks for all the support you've been giving me. I'll make a Nexus release very soon as I think this is the combat mod everybody deserves, despite it not being 100% feature complete.
I still have plans for other features(perilous attacks, enemy AI) that I will continue to add into the mod. As my patreons you'll be able to test those (probably buggy) features early; and from now on, every single update will come in both AE and SE version.
Enjoy the last day of July! (which is also why I made a post today bc I don't want you to stay subscribed for 1 month for nothing, lol)

*To be specific, its most likely some sort of mod animation package that is causing your creatures to not die, I do not have this issue, it is just that my execute function isn't working regardless if it loads before/after mco

2022-08-12 10:12:31 +0000 UTCHaving exact same problem with both this version and 0.12, hopefully its just user error on us and not the mod but i cant seem to find the issue since i only have MCO and valhalla as my combat mods

2022-08-12 09:28:47 +0000 UTCdisabled kill moves on players in UltimateCombat, but when I install Valhalla Combat, the kill moves still occur. Can I disable kill moves on players?

2022-08-04 09:33:11 +0000 UTCSounds good, thanks for the reply!

2022-08-02 15:22:18 +0000 UTCExecutions don't kill and the enemy becomes invincible until their stun recharges. Just joined yesterday so is there some requirement I missed or is this a bug? Otherwise pretty sweet mod Edit: only affects some creatures(mudcrab for example)

2022-08-02 11:58:13 +0000 UTCHoly shit man great job on this. Feels great so far!
2022-08-02 06:31:39 +0000 UTCI got a weird bug with valhalla where the audio just pops during if I hit someone / execute someone. You got similar reports on that?

2022-08-02 00:03:35 +0000 UTC-Yes -Valhalla doesn’t touch enemy behavior on stamina depletion for now; it’s a good replacement for player stamina only. In future updates regarding enemy AI, I’ll introduce stamina as a constraint.

2022-08-01 20:57:19 +0000 UTCThat actually sounds good! But it would only be possible once I implement my own poise system, as trueHud cannot be switching between two plugins on the fly. I’ll keep your suggestion in mind

2022-08-01 20:56:19 +0000 UTCSorry I wasn't clear, I meant within the Valhalla MCM menu but I've noticed the balance system was complete dropped in the latest version anyway so my question was moot also would you consider a way to get Poise and Stun to share the same bar, in the future? for example various levels of the special meter corelating to when the character gets staggered as is the case in Poise, then when it falls to zero the character is stunned?

2022-08-01 17:20:33 +0000 UTCCouple questions about this: - does it make your other mod Shield Of Stamina redundant? Like you won't need that, with this? - would you say it's a good AE-compatible alternative for Fenix Stamina Overhaul, in terms of making stamina matter for enemy NPCs while in combat?
someusernameiguess
2022-08-01 16:47:15 +0000 UTCcurrent version of valhalla doesn't have any nemesis patch; if you mean the balance patch from Elden Counter, you can keep it on. It's up to you whether to disable Poise's special meter; if you don't disable it, NPC's yellow gauge shows their poise; if you do, the meter shows their stun.

2022-08-01 06:12:08 +0000 UTCI've been meaning to ask what is the proper way to set this up to work with Poise? do I untick the balance patch and tick the poise box, or do I keep both ticked? and do I still need to disable Poise's truehud special bar setting in its ini?
Darrudejameson
2022-08-01 06:09:46 +0000 UTCAbsolutely; it's designed to have minimum impact on your save so you should be able to install/uninstall whenever you wish

2022-08-01 03:04:08 +0000 UTCGreat! Can I update mid playthrough from the last SE version?
Sirgilly1
2022-08-01 03:03:03 +0000 UTCIt is compatible; whether staggerlock is needed depends on your setup. Valhalla combat currently doesn’t touch stagger at all
dTRY
2022-08-01 01:35:47 +0000 UTCIf you have installed Poise and enabled Poise's HUD, I think it's normal to see that the true hud is not detected. Disabling Poise's hud enables Valhalla Combat's hud
willow
2022-08-01 01:28:51 +0000 UTCIs this compatible with Elden Rim - Weapon Arts? Also is stagger lock needed?
2022-08-01 01:13:07 +0000 UTCOnly problem im still experiencing is that the mcm won't detect truehuds api for some reason. im not sure if its because i have poise too?

2022-08-01 01:03:43 +0000 UTCthanks for the release dtry
2022-07-31 22:08:00 +0000 UTCgreat, thanks for the quick response !

2022-07-31 22:00:17 +0000 UTCYep; it's no longer required.

2022-07-31 21:59:48 +0000 UTCJust out of curiosity, I just installed the AE version and when I reran nemesis the valhalla patch to tick seemed to have disappeared, is it no longer required?
