Valhalla Combat published, and plans for the future
Added 2022-08-19 23:04:24 +0000 UTCThanks for y'all's support! Valhalla Combat is now published: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/64741
It is far from feature-complete, but I do believe it's stable enough for the public to enjoy. That being said, I still have a laundry list of things to implement, either into Valhalla Combat directly or in a separate mod that uses Valhalla Combat as a base API. The ultimate goal is to create a consistent and enjoyable 3rd person comat experience.
So here I ask for your opinion: which do yout want me to work on next, among the following things? I'll eventually get all of them done, and I don't really have a preference as I deem them to be equally important. I just want to know what you guys want to see the most :)

Super stoked for the possibility of having a Valhalla integrated Poise system. I know there's other mods out there, but they seem to run counter to the stamina system baked into Valhalla that rewards agression in combat.

2022-09-26 05:51:04 +0000 UTCAny idea how to stop reflect damage from killing you when you execute someone?

2022-08-27 00:14:08 +0000 UTCIs there a way to add 'pause' to combos? or even unlockable combos through the extendable perk tree mod?

2022-08-21 15:49:29 +0000 UTCSo would I be able (in the meantime) to use Poise stagger animations?
2022-08-21 02:45:27 +0000 UTCSo Valhalla doesn't actually do anything different when it does detect the NPC patch, then?

2022-08-20 23:21:09 +0000 UTCThere won’t be any interaction between the two so hence no incompatibilities

2022-08-20 17:45:16 +0000 UTCI've asked this elsewhere previously, but I don't think I ever got a clear answer - if I'm using ADRI's Impactful Blocking, which inherently enables Elden Counter support for NPCs in its Nemesis patch (meaning I do not run the normal Elden Counter NPC support Nemesis patch) how does that impact Valhalla? I notice it does seem to at least check for the presence of the "normal" patch.

2022-08-20 16:34:14 +0000 UTCI've been using Loki's poise and I find it has stun-lock (keep getting staggered because enemies keep attacking) problem. I hope when you implement the stagger system, you can make some sort of a balanced "stagger immunity" to prevent stun-locking.

2022-08-20 06:58:26 +0000 UTCValhalla doesn’t deal with stagger atm, but I’ll eventually add a poise system to Valhalla combat

2022-08-20 06:54:32 +0000 UTCyou can simply replace the old mod

2022-08-20 06:53:56 +0000 UTCCongratulations for the Nexus release! I'm still using the BETA (or older, not sure) version. If I want to update to the Nexus version, are there special steps or do I just replace the mod?

2022-08-20 06:53:21 +0000 UTCAwesome Job, question, I like Poise by Lokis stagger animations that knock npcs/PC back when struck with certain or multiple attacks. Does Valhalla have animations like that, that adds some realism to the force behind certain strikes?. Or is there a way to have poise stagger animations take over the stagger part?
2022-08-20 02:49:25 +0000 UTCI think perk integration will add some more foundation to Vahalla combat, to help with game play. Because I am using ordinator with your edits you made to it and it just doesn't feel right, it works. But it's like wearing a shoe that just doesn't fit your foot right.
2022-08-20 01:01:32 +0000 UTCgood luck with the launch and thanks for the effort.

2022-08-19 23:15:34 +0000 UTCas much as i WANT a stagger system that makes sense (i can't get lokis poise to work) we definitely NEED a perk overhaul that doesn't touch directional power attacks, attack speed, etc.
