Pinch Grinds (Trick tip?)

In this video I explain how I bravely overcame the psychological warfare of the pinched frontside crooked grind.

So helpful, really appreciate this vid

James Poulos

update on that back nose blunt video? ;P

Jesper Andersen

thanks for this, been trying front crooks for a couple days and this explains my struggle with them perfectly. It's an annoying trick because i can front nosegrind/noseslide no problemo but when it comes to the in between it really is a mental battle.

Thanks man 😊

Your probably the only person aside from Ben Degros that I would enjoy more trick tip content from, the self aware/rational approach you guys take actually makes it much more applicable to my own skating, anyways been trying to learn this one at my local DIY when no one else is at the park because it just feels so awkward

Tru tho at the end, it feels weird giving trick tips when you JUST learned a trick but you have this fresh knowledge of like what tweaks and steps you made to get the trick, versus someone who's had it for a long time can probably be more helpful in showing you tips to optimize the trick and make it easier or look better rather than simply landing it

Bro this video reminded me I can learn tricks on/next to grass for the confidence boost it gives, got super close to landing a heelflip yesterday cuz I did it just on concrete next to some grass. Truly useful and nice front crooks man!!

I have the same kind of box set up and I’ve never thought about putting it in the grass… I’ve always wanted to learn back smiths proper but I have a hard time with my heel hitting the ledge, sticking, and sending me. I’m for sure gonna try the grass method. I think a lot of it also has to do with the period of time when you’re like 13-18 and everyone roasts you for “not doing tricks/learning tricks the right way” that we are almost conditioned in a way that we don’t even think about taking smaller steps. We think we HAVE to learn a trick on the 14” concrete box at the skatepark with everyone watching you.

jk. Great content. Thanks king.

Kids these days learn a trick and immediately feel the need to make a trick tip on it. smh....

As someone approaching 30 who hasn't skated seriously for at least 5 years this really made me wanna go out and skate. Front crook is such a stylish looking trick and definitely a dream trick of mine. Thanks dude keep it up

Josh Mitchell

This content is actually sick dude. Applying a logical / rational take on explaining how to do a trick is super helpful.
