I don’t hear skaters talk about him as much as I’d expect, since I feel like there’s a lot to say about his style of skating, the way his lines flow and his likeable personality. He’s got great sponsors imo and I really fuck with his NB 440s. Idk, maybe I’m just a sucker for gritty UK skating.

2021-12-24 03:40:18 +0000 UTCProbably kind of a cold take, but the threshold for whats considered worthy of filming has significantly decreased over the last 8 years or so. Part of the cherry effect I guess. I don't know, for example, I was re-watching the Noah Jolie Rogue video the other day, and kids like Kyota and Coles definitely show promise, but to me it feels kind of pre mature to include their front 50-50 combo clips in a video on that level. Their clips paired with the likes of Troy Gipson and Bobby D just looked kind of silly by comparison to me.

Personally, I feel that if it wasn't for his skills, career, and reputation as a pro skater, Corey Kennedy would have been shunned from skateboarding.
