The idea that someone wants it to look like kids filming kids gets a lot weirder when you imagine a old fat guy (sorry 😅) behind the camera breathing heavy and salivating. It’s honestly not your place. Like what is par for you? What you’ve seen cis men do? I’m tempted to start getting into how much changes with transitioning. How it effects every aspect of a person’s life let alone fucking skateboarding. How much energy that takes and how much continuing to skate at any rate is a double bind or an uphill battle for any trans women. But what’s actually the point? The people making comments like this care more about how sick a video part is (by their own standards) than the actual life of the person they’re watching. But at least these comments are always prefaced with “inclusivity is great and positive” as if that’s helping anyone.

Regarding the use of black hun and culture, don’t think it’s that deep as most of the stuff chosen may be entirely through strobeck handing the creatives reigns to the riders who several whom are black and saying he what do you want to see on a t shirt or board. A good video should give a shit. Have some compassion. Create a sense of community, because that's what going out skating and filming illustrates. Giving a shit with a bit of empathy and some hard work usually leads to original ideas, not self indulgent played out ones.

Lingering, slow motion shots of young teenagers without shirts on is just a bit odd given that he is 45 and I totally agree that the shot of the woman who didn’t want to be filmed was shitty, I remember feeling really uncomfortable when I saw that. I’m not saying he’s a bad person or anything, I just find some of the things he does a bit questionable.
