I am thankful for it and that I for myself learned through your videos to see skating way different and in the past I often could not even figure out why I like some parts and others not. Because your type of view was something new in skateboarding. And I am not talking about the people copying your opinion. The whole video had too slow a shutter speed or some sort of ghosting that made it look off - for what I like at least. Color was pretty dull too. Makes it feel a bit dad cam-y. Makes me wonder if ppl who just assumed the “filming was bad” picked up on this as well.

In an attempt to articulate the difference, Louie is better because he's putting out footage for the sake of putting out good skate footage. I'm sure he knows there's SOTY potential, but that's not his primary objective. Mark, on the other hand, put out footage with the sole objective of getting SOTY. He wasn't having fun, being creative, and he was just skating mechanically, because he was really just focused on gaming a system. Ironically, even though Mark won Thrasher's title, I would say he is the Berrics to Louie's Thrasher. While the Berrics is trying to game the algorithm just to get more views, money, and brand deals, having an ulterior motive other than just putting out good skate content for the love of skating, Thrasher still puts out good skate content as an end in itself. This is why it comes out as more authentic, fun, and impressive, just like Louie. Insert image of me as a cartoon man with my head and back bent around so I'm giving a speech to my own ass
